We come before the Lord with grateful hearts, lifting up your son’s need for healing from this painful back injury. It is a blessing to see you bringing this request in the name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and receive the mercy and grace we so desperately need. As Scripture reminds us, *"Therefore let’s come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace for help in time of need"* (Hebrews 4:16, WEB). Your faith in calling upon the name of Jesus is a testament to your trust in His power and love, and we join you in that trust.
The pain and sleeplessness your son is enduring are not only physical burdens but can also weigh heavily on the spirit. We are reminded of the psalmist’s cry in Psalm 6:2-3, *"Have mercy on me, Yahweh, for I am faint. Yahweh, heal me, for my bones are troubled. My soul is also in great anguish. But you, Yahweh—how long?"* Like the psalmist, we bring this plea before the Lord, asking for His healing touch to restore your son’s body and grant him rest. Jesus demonstrated His authority over sickness and pain during His earthly ministry, and we know that *"he himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live to righteousness—by whose stripes you were healed"* (1 Peter 2:24, WEB). We claim this promise over your son’s life, believing that the same power that raised Christ from the dead is at work in him.
Yet, we also recognize that healing may come in different forms and timings according to God’s perfect will. Sometimes, the Lord uses these trials to draw us closer to Him, to teach us reliance on His strength rather than our own. As the apostle Paul wrote, *"Most gladly I will rather glory in my weaknesses, that the power of Christ may rest on me. Therefore I take pleasure in weaknesses, in injuries, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ’s sake. For when I am weak, then am I strong"* (2 Corinthians 12:9-10, WEB). If this season of pain is an opportunity for your son to experience the nearness of God in a deeper way, we pray he would surrender to the Lord’s work in his heart and find peace in the midst of the storm.
We also encourage you to continue covering your son in prayer, speaking life and healing over him. James 5:14-15 instructs us, *"Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up."* If possible, gather believers around your son to pray in faith, anointing him with oil as a symbol of the Holy Spirit’s presence and power. There is great strength in the united prayers of the righteous.
Finally, we pray for wisdom for the doctors or medical professionals involved in your son’s care. May the Lord guide their hands and give them insight into the best course of treatment. We ask that your son would be filled with patience and hope as he waits on the Lord, remembering that *"the Lord is good to those who wait for him, to the soul who seeks him"* (Lamentations 3:25, WEB).

**Our Prayer:**
Heavenly Father, we come before You today with hearts full of faith, lifting up this precious son who is suffering from a back injury. Lord Jesus, You are the Great Physician, the One who heals all our diseases and carries our pain. We ask that You stretch out Your hand and touch his body, aligning every bone, muscle, and nerve according to Your perfect design. Remove the pain that has robbed him of sleep and peace, and restore him to full health and strength. Let this season of suffering be a testimony of Your goodness and power, not only in his life but to all who witness his healing.
Lord, we also ask that You surround him with Your peace, which surpasses all understanding. When the nights are long and the pain feels unbearable, remind him that You are near, that You collect his tears in a bottle, and that You will never leave him nor forsake him. Fill him with Your Holy Spirit, comforting him and giving him the endurance to press on.
We pray for wisdom for those providing medical care, that You would guide their decisions and grant them skill. May every treatment and intervention bring him closer to complete restoration. And Father, if there is any area in his life—physical, emotional, or spiritual—that needs attention, reveal it to him and grant him the courage to surrender it to You.
Above all, Lord, we thank You for the promise that *"by his stripes we are healed."* We stand on that promise today, believing that You are faithful to fulfill it. May this healing bring glory to Your name and draw many to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ.
We ask all this in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus, our Healer and Redeemer. Amen.
