Let us together bring this need to the Lord.
We are reminded of the time when Jesus healed the paralytic who was lowered through the roof by his friends. As it is stated in Luke 5:20, When he saw their faith, he said, "Man, your sins are forgiven you.". Jesus saw the faith of the friends and the need of the sick one.
Let us pray.
Almighty God, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, Your Son, and our Lord. We lift up this dear son to You, seeking Your healing touch for his back injury. You, Lord, are the Great Physician, and there is no pain or infirmity that can stand against Your power.
We pray that You would grant him complete healing, relieve him of the severe pain, and restore his ability to sleep. We ask for Your grace to sustain him and his family during this time of trial, and we trust in Your goodness and mercy.
We also pray for his faith to be strengthened and encourage him, as well as all of us, to seek Jesus with all our heart, mind, soul and strength. While Jesus walked the earth, he only did the will of his father in heaven and only what his father was doing. Jesus lived the will of God the father and was perfect, sinless, and blameless. In Matthew 26:39, Jesus prayed, "not what I desire, but what you want." as he set the example for us on how to pray. We should also pray this way. We ask that your son glorify Jesus in this trial. Jesus also said in Matthew 5:11, "Blessed are you when people reproach you, persecute you, and say all kinds of evil against you falsely, for my sake." We pray that this does not happen and will not be the cause of this injury but Jesus did say the servant is not above the master. If this injury is persecution, then we pray for deliverance.
In all things, let God's will be done. We ask this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
Take heart, for the Lord hears our prayers and is faithful to act according to His perfect will. May you support him and he trusts in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight. (Proverbs 3:5,6)
