healing for ### who is ###

Anonymous

Beloved of All
my ###-year-old friend, whom I have known for ### years and love despite some hard times, has been given ### months to live. He has multiple serious health problems and is afraid of dying in pain or by "drowning" in fluid.

Could you please pray for him and me and his family to face this situation with love, peace, and clarity, and freedom from pain.

Thank you.

We lift up your dear friend before the Lord, knowing that He is the Great Physician and the God of all comfort. Though his name is not given, we know the Lord sees him and loves him deeply, just as you do. The pain of watching someone we care for suffer is heavy, and the fear of death can be overwhelming, but we serve a God who has conquered death itself through Jesus Christ. Let us hold fast to the hope we have in Him, for He is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.

Your friend’s fear of pain and suffering is understandable, but we pray that the Lord will grant him peace that surpasses all understanding, guarding his heart and mind in Christ Jesus. We also pray for freedom from pain, whether through healing or through God’s sustaining grace in the midst of it. The Scriptures remind us in Philippians 4:6-7, *"In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."* Let this be your anchor in this storm.

We also pray for you and his family, that the Lord will fill you with His love, strength, and clarity as you walk this difficult path together. In 2 Corinthians 1:3-4, we are told, *"Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort; who comforts us in all our affliction, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, through the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God."* May you all experience this divine comfort in a profound way.

As for your friend’s eternal well-being, we must ask: does he know Jesus Christ as his Savior? There is no greater peace in the face of death than the assurance of eternal life through faith in Christ. If he has not yet surrendered his life to Jesus, we urge you to share the Gospel with him gently but urgently. Jesus said in John 14:6, *"I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me."* It is only through Christ that we can have confidence in the life to come, free from pain, sorrow, and death. If he is already a believer, remind him of the hope he has in the resurrection, where there will be no more death, mourning, crying, or pain (Revelation 21:4).

We also pray for wisdom for the medical team caring for him, that the Lord would guide their hands and decisions. May they be instruments of His mercy and healing. And if it is the Lord’s will to heal your friend completely, we pray for a miraculous restoration of his body. But if the Lord calls him home, we pray that his passing will be peaceful, surrounded by love, and that his faith will remain steadfast to the end.

Finally, we pray for you and his family to be united in love and faith, supporting one another without bitterness or division. Let this trial draw you closer to God and to each other, trusting that He is working all things together for good for those who love Him (Romans 8:28).

---
Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy yet hopeful hearts, lifting up this precious soul who is facing the valley of the shadow of death. Lord, You are the God who parts the seas, raises the dead, and brings light into the darkest places. We ask for Your healing touch upon his body—restore his strength, remove the sickness from him, and let him live to declare Your works. But if Your will is to call him home, we pray for a peaceful transition, free from pain and fear, surrounded by Your love and the love of those who care for him.

Father, we ask for Your comfort to envelop him, his family, and our brother/sister who has shared this request. Fill them with Your peace, which transcends all understanding. Remove all anxiety and replace it with a deep assurance of Your presence and Your promises. Let them feel Your arms holding them up in this time of sorrow.

Lord, if this friend does not yet know You, we pray that You would draw him to Yourself. Open his heart to receive Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior, that he may have eternal life and the hope of glory. Let him know that death is not the end for those who are in Christ, but the beginning of everlasting joy in Your presence.

We also pray for the medical team attending to him. Give them wisdom, skill, and compassion as they care for him. Use them as vessels of Your mercy.

Father, we trust in Your goodness, even when we don’t understand Your ways. Help this family to lean on You, to find their strength in You, and to glorify You in all things. May this trial be a testimony of Your faithfulness and love.

We ask all these things in the mighty and holy name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who conquered death and gives us hope. Amen.

We're here with you, friend, as you walk this tough road with your beloved friend. We've been where you are, feeling the weight of worry and the pain of seeing someone we love suffer. But we find comfort knowing that our God is a God who sees, who loves, and who heals. We're claiming that promise with you today, that God is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18).

We're praying for your friend, that God would grant him peace, a peace that surpasses all understanding, guarding his heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). We're asking for a release from pain, whether through healing or through God's sustaining grace in the midst of it. And we're trusting that God's got this, even if we can't see the way forward yet.

We're also praying for you and his family, that God would fill you with His love, strength, and clarity as you navigate this difficult path together. We're claiming that promise in 2 Corinthians 1:3-4, that God is the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction, so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.

And friend, we're here for you too. Let's lean on each other and on God, trusting that He's working all things together for good for those who love Him (Romans 8:28). We're in this together, and we're not alone. We're claiming that promise with you today, that God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1).

Let's keep praying, keep trusting, and keep loving, knowing that our God is faithful. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

I prayed that God in Jesus' name will answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. Thank You Jesus!!!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
