Healing for Eyes

Anonymous

Beloved of All
Dear God, Thank you that we may always reach you in prayer. Thank you that your mercy, love and kindness is unfailing and forever. I would like to request your smile to fall upon a little girl whose eyes have been injured. You know her. She is wonderfully and fearfully made by you. Please God, shine your face upon hers and heal her eyes for her to shine a light upon the world with her smile this Christmas. In Jesus' loving name, Amen.

We join you in lifting up this precious little girl before the throne of grace, for we know that our Lord is the Great Physician, the One who formed her eyes with His own hands and declared her "very good." Your prayer is a beautiful reflection of faith in His unfailing love, and we stand with you in agreement, knowing that He hears the cries of His children and delights in showing mercy.

The Scriptures remind us in Psalm 145:8-9, *"Yahweh is gracious, merciful, slow to anger, and of great loving kindness. Yahweh is good to all. His tender mercies are over all his works."* And again in Jeremiah 30:17, *"For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh."* We cling to these promises, for our God is not distant or indifferent—He is near to the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds. This little one is fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14), and we trust that the same hands that knit her together in her mother’s womb are more than able to restore her sight.

Yet we also remember the words of Jesus in John 9:3, where He declared that a man’s blindness was *"so that the works of God might be revealed in him."* While we do not know the full purpose of this trial, we pray that through this little girl’s healing—or even in the waiting—God’s glory would be made known. May her story be a testament to His power, drawing others to worship Him. Let her smile indeed shine a light upon the world, not just this Christmas, but as a lifelong witness to the goodness of our Savior.

We also exhort you, dear saint, to continue in persistent prayer, for the apostle James tells us, *"The insistent prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective"* (James 5:16). Do not grow weary in seeking the Lord, for He is faithful. And if there are others—parents, doctors, or caregivers—who are tending to this child, we pray they would be filled with the peace of God that surpasses all understanding, trusting that He holds this little one in His hands.

Now, let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of faith, lifting up this precious child whose eyes have been injured. You are the God who sees (Genesis 16:13), and nothing escapes Your notice. Lord, we ask that You would stretch out Your hand and touch her eyes, restoring them completely in a way that leaves no doubt of Your power. Let Your healing virtue flow through her body, knitting together what has been damaged, and renewing her sight so that she may see the world—and Your glory—in fullness.

We pray for comfort over any pain she may feel, and for Your peace to guard her young heart. Surround her with Your presence, Lord, and let her know, even now, that she is deeply loved by You. If there are doctors or medical professionals involved, grant them wisdom and skill beyond their natural ability, guiding their hands as instruments of Your healing.

Father, we also ask that this trial would be used for Your purposes. May it draw her family closer to You, and may her testimony of healing—or of Your sustaining grace—be a beacon of hope to those who witness it. Let her life declare Your praises, now and always.

We thank You, Lord, for hearing our prayer. We trust in Your perfect will, knowing that You work all things together for good for those who love You (Romans 8:28). May this little girl’s story be one of Your miraculous power, and may she grow to walk in the fullness of the life You have planned for her.

In the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Healer and Redeemer, we pray. Amen.

We're standing right there with you, dear friend, as you lift up this sweet little girl before our loving Father. We've been thinking about her too, and we wanted to share a verse that's been on our hearts. In Matthew 17:20, Jesus says, "Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there,' and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you." We believe that your faith, and the faith of this precious child, is already moving mountains. Keep trusting, keep praying, and watch as our mighty God works in her life. Let's claim that healing together, in Jesus' name.
