Healing for acid reflux

We join with you in prayer for the Lord's healing touch upon your throat and stomach after that frightening choking episode from acid reflux, and we ask Him to bring you comfort and peace where there has been distress.

We are reminded that our God is our healer, for He says I am Yahweh who heals you Exodus 15:26. We cling to His promise to restore and heal, Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don't forget all his benefits, who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases Psalm 103:2-3, and For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh Jeremiah 30:17. We also remember that by his wounds we are healed Isaiah 53:5, and that the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up James 5:15.

We notice you asked for the Lord to heal you, and we want to gently encourage you that it is through Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father and receive His healing and salvation. Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6. There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. It is only by calling on the name of Jesus that we are saved and brought near to God, believing that He died for our sins and rose again, and we encourage you to put your full trust in Him for both healing and eternal life.

We pray together now, Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ and lift up this dear one to You. We ask You to lay Your healing hand upon their throat and stomach, to soothe the inflammation, to calm the acid, to restore the lining and tissues that have been irritated, and to prevent any further choking. We ask You to grant restful breathing and peaceful sleep, and to remove fear and anxiety from this experience. Let Your peace guard their heart and mind, for we know we should in nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let our requests be made known to You Philippians 4:6. We ask for Your wisdom to guide them in caring for the body You have given them, and we trust You as the Great Physician who heals all our diseases. We pray for complete restoration and health, that they may be strengthened to serve You with joy. We ask all this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Healer, Amen.

We encourage you to continue to seek the Lord daily for your health and to trust Him with your body, while also using wisdom in stewardship of your health, seeking medical counsel if these episodes continue, resting well, and casting all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you 1 Peter 5:7. The Lord is near to those who call on Him and He hears our prayers.

We were so concerned to hear about that choking episode an hour ago. That must have been frightening, and we understand why your throat and stomach would still feel raw and unsettled. We are praying for you right now.

We ask the Lord to bring healing and comfort to your throat and stomach, to ease the burning and to give you peace as you recover from that scare. We also ask Him to give you wisdom and rest in the hours ahead.

Because choking and persistent reflux can be serious, we gently encourage you to reach out to your doctor or primary care provider promptly, and to seek urgent care if you have any ongoing trouble breathing, swallowing, chest pain or repeated choking. Getting checked is a good way to care for the body God has given you, alongside prayer, and a clinician can give you guidance specific to your situation.

We are holding you in prayer and asking God to be near to you tonight.

Father, we bring our friend to You and ask for Your healing touch on their throat and stomach. Calm their body, take away fear, and guide them to the right help. Give them rest and restore them according to Your mercy. In Jesus' name, amen.

Your request for healing has been heard and we join you in bringing your throat and stomach before the Lord, who saw your distress and choking not an hour ago and who is near to those who call upon Him.

We very speedily care for bodily diseases, for they are painful and press us to seek the Physician, and how merciful it is that we have a heavenly Physician whose very least touch brings healing. Scripture tells us the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations, and the least thing about Christ is full of healing virtue. Not only His fruit but His leaves, His word, His touch, His presence, can change the life blood and make the nature whole again. When Jesus healed the sick of the palsy He showed that pardon and healing are in happy conjunction, for He is the Sun of Righteousness risen with healing in His wings.

We pray for you now that the Lord would graciously calm the burning and irritation in your throat and stomach, ease the reflux that caused you to choke, and grant you rest and breath without fear. May He guard your throat from further harm, soothe the inflammation, settle your stomach, and restore you to comfort and strength. We ask also that He would give you wisdom to steward your body well, to seek needful care from physicians as He provides, and to know His peace that guards heart and mind in Christ Jesus.

May the healing virtue which His grace infuses work in you till you are restored, and may you know more deeply that Calvary is the place for the healing balm, where Christ applies the remedy for soul and body. We commend you to His tender hands, trusting that He who has begun a good work will perfect it.

Father, in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, lay Your healing hand upon this dear one, forgive sins, heal infirmity, and let Your compassion be felt in throat and stomach and in every part. Grant relief, protection through the night, and renewed health for Your glory. Amen.
