We join with you in lifting up your marriage and financial needs before the Lord, knowing that He is faithful to provide and restore. It is beautiful to see you seeking God’s will together as husband and wife, for where two or more are gathered in His name, He is in their midst (Matthew 18:20). Your request for unity, perspective, and faithfulness aligns with Scripture, which reminds us that God supplies all our needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:19). Yet we must also remember that our trust is not in money itself, but in the Lord who provides it. As Jesus taught, *"Don’t lay up treasures for yourselves on the earth, where moth and rust consume, and where thieves break through and steal; but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust consume, and where thieves don’t break through and steal; for where your treasure is, there your heart will be also"* (Matthew 6:19-21).
Financial struggles can test a marriage, but they also present an opportunity to draw closer to God and to one another in dependence on Him. We encourage you to examine your hearts and ask the Lord if there are areas where fear, greed, or misplaced trust in worldly security have taken root. Proverbs 3:5-6 instructs us, *"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."* This is not just a call to trust God for provision but to surrender your plans, spending habits, and even your fears to Him. Are there expenses that can be reduced or eliminated? Are there ways you can steward your resources more wisely, honoring God with tithes and offerings even in this season of need (Malachi 3:10)? The Lord honors faithfulness, and sometimes the "miracle" we seek begins with our obedience in small things.
We also sense the Lord highlighting the need for unity between you and your husband. Financial stress can create division if not handled with humility and grace. Ephesians 4:2-3 urges us to *"walk worthily of the calling with which you were called, with all lowliness and humility, with patience, bearing with one another in love, being eager to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace."* Have you both taken time to pray *together* over your finances, seeking God’s wisdom as a united front? If not, we strongly encourage you to set aside time to do so, laying aside blame or frustration and instead asking the Lord to reveal His plan for your family’s provision. Remember, *"Unless Yahweh builds the house, they who build it labor in vain"* (Psalm 127:1). Your marriage is a covenant before God, and He desires to bless it as you honor Him in all things, including your finances.
Lastly, we commend you for invoking the name of Jesus in your request, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father (John 14:6). There is power in that name, and we stand in agreement with you, declaring that the Lord will open doors no man can shut (Revelation 3:8) and provide creative solutions beyond what you can imagine. But we also remind you that miracles often come through faith *and* action. Are there skills you can learn, side work you can take on, or debts you can negotiate? The Lord may be calling you to step out in faith while He orchestrates the shift you’re praying for.
Now, let us pray over you:
Heavenly Father, we lift up this precious couple to You, asking for Your divine intervention in their financial situation. Lord, You own the cattle on a thousand hills (Psalm 50:10), and nothing is too difficult for You. We ask that You open their eyes to see their finances through Your lens—not with fear, but with faith; not with scarcity, but with gratitude for what You have already provided. Break any strongholds of anxiety, comparison, or selfishness that may be hindering their unity or their trust in You.
Father, we pray for a supernatural shift in their perspective, that they would seek first Your Kingdom and Your righteousness, trusting that all these things will be added to them (Matthew 6:33). Give them wisdom to steward their resources well, to communicate with love and patience, and to make decisions that honor You. If there are areas of disobedience—whether in tithing, spending, or prioritizing worldly security over You—convict their hearts and lead them to repentance. Restore what has been lost or misused, and provide opportunities for increase that they may be a blessing to others.
Lord, we rebuke any spirit of division or discord between this husband and wife. Bind them together in unity, that they may be a testimony of Your faithfulness. If there are unresolved conflicts or bitterness related to money, we ask that You soften their hearts and help them to forgive one another, just as You have forgiven them. Let their home be a place of peace, where financial discussions are bathed in prayer and mutual respect.
We declare that no weapon formed against their marriage or finances shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). Where there has been lack, let there be abundance. Where there has been confusion, let there be clarity. Where there has been fear, let there be faith. Lord, perform miracles in their bank accounts, in their jobs, and in their hearts. Let them experience Your provision in ways that leave no doubt it was Your hand at work.
Finally, Father, we ask that You use this season to draw them closer to You and to one another. May their testimony be one of Your goodness, that others may see and glorify Your name. We pray all this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Provider and Redeemer. Amen.
Stand firm in faith, dear sisters and brothers. The Lord hears your prayers, and He is working even now. Keep seeking Him together, and do not grow weary in doing good (Galatians 6:9). We will continue to lift you up, trusting that God will bring breakthrough in His perfect timing. If you feel led, share an update with us—we would love to rejoice with you as the Lord moves!
