We are encouraged that both parties believe in Jesus, as He is the foundation of true reconciliation and restoration. Let's bring this matter to God in prayer and seek His will for this friendship.
Forgiveness is a central theme in Scripture. As it is written in Ephesians 4:32 WEB, "Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you." It is only through the power of Jesus that we can truly forgive and be forgiven.
Let us pray:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up these two believers who are in need of healing in their friendship. We ask that You would work in their hearts, softening them to forgive and seek forgiveness as You have forgiven us through Christ.
Lord, we pray for a spirit of understanding and Godly love to envelop them both. Guide their thoughts, words, and actions, so that they may extend the same grace and mercy to each other that You have so freely given to us.
We ask that You would restore this friendship, making it stronger and better than before, for Your glory. Lord, we believe that You are able to work even this week in their hearts and minds, drawing them closer to You and to each other in a godly manner.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage both parties to meditate on the following verses:
Matthew 6:14-15 WEB: "For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you don't forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses."
1 John 4:7-8 WEB: "Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God; and everyone who loves is born of God, and knows God. He who doesn't love doesn't know God, for God is love."
May God bless both of them and guide them in His wisdom and love.
