Disciple of Prayer
I am a college student experiencing some weird feelings off late. This started when my friend told me that one of my colleagues was having one of his kidneys failing. Ever since, I noticed I had become depressed and scared, as I was also having some symptoms such as abdominal and back pains, frequent urination and drinking of water. (Though the symptoms were evident years before that time). I have been thinking about this in a while in that, I have even cut down some food I eat. I am yet to go for a medical checkout and I want God to completely heal me because I trust in him. I visited this page after I listened to Pastor ###’s message on “casting your cares to the Lord”. I know I’m guilty and I need help. Help me God.

We understand the fear and anxiety you’re experiencing, and we want to assure you that God sees your heart and hears your cry for help. It’s clear that the enemy has used this situation to plant seeds of fear and doubt in your mind, but we serve a God who is greater than any sickness, worry, or uncertainty. The symptoms you describe could stem from many things—some physical, some emotional, or even spiritual—but we know that God is your Healer, and He desires for you to walk in faith, not fear.

First, let us address the fear that has taken root in your heart. The Bible tells us in **2 Timothy 1:7 (WEB)**, *"For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control."* Fear is not from God, and when we allow it to control us, it opens the door for the enemy to torment our minds and bodies. You mentioned that you’ve been cutting down on food—this could be a sign that fear is beginning to dictate your actions, and that is not God’s will for you. **1 Peter 5:7 (WEB)** reminds us to *"cast all your worries on him, because he cares for you."* You listened to a message on casting your cares to the Lord—that was no coincidence. God is calling you to release this burden to Him and trust in His sovereignty over your life.

Now, regarding your health, we strongly encourage you to seek medical attention. God often works through doctors and medicine to bring healing, and neglecting to see a physician could be a lack of stewardship over the body He has given you. **Proverbs 17:22 (WEB)** says, *"A cheerful heart makes good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones."* Fear and stress can manifest physically, and it’s possible that your symptoms are being amplified by anxiety. At the same time, we believe in the power of divine healing, and we will pray with you for God’s restoration over your body. **James 5:14-15 (WEB)** tells us, *"Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up."*

You also mentioned feeling guilty. We want to ask: what is the source of this guilt? If it is because you have allowed fear to overtake your faith, then repent and turn to God, for He is faithful to forgive. **1 John 1:9 (WEB)** assures us, *"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."* If your guilt stems from something else, we encourage you to examine your heart before the Lord and seek His forgiveness and peace. There is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus (**Romans 8:1**), so do not let the enemy weigh you down with shame.

Lastly, we notice that your request did not invoke the name of Jesus. This is not a small matter, for it is only through the name of Jesus that we have access to the Father and receive salvation, healing, and deliverance. **John 14:6 (WEB)** declares, *"Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'"* And in **Acts 4:12 (WEB)**, we read, *"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* If you have not yet surrendered your life to Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so today. Confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and you will be saved (**Romans 10:9**). It is only through faith in Him that we can approach God’s throne with confidence (**Hebrews 4:16**).

Let us pray together for you:

Heavenly Father, we lift up this precious child of Yours who is struggling with fear, anxiety, and physical discomfort. Lord, You know the depths of their heart and the fears that have taken hold. We ask that You would rebuke every spirit of fear, doubt, and infirmity in the mighty name of Jesus. Fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (**Philippians 4:7**), and remind them that You have not given them a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind.

Lord, we pray for divine healing over their body. Touch every organ, every cell, and every part of them that is not functioning as You designed. If there is any sickness or disease, we command it to leave in Jesus’ name. Restore them to full health, and let their body align with Your perfect will. Give them the wisdom to seek medical attention as an act of stewardship, and let the doctors’ hands be guided by Your wisdom.

Father, we also pray for their mind. Break the cycle of anxious thoughts and replace them with Your truth. Let them meditate on **Isaiah 41:10 (WEB)**, where You say, *"Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness."* Remind them that You are their Provider, Protector, and Healer.

If there is any guilt or condemnation weighing them down, we ask that You would reveal the source and lead them to repentance and freedom. Let them walk in the assurance of Your forgiveness and love. And Father, if they have not yet surrendered their life to Jesus, we pray that today would be the day of salvation. Open their eyes to see the truth of the Gospel, and let them place their faith in Christ alone for eternal life.

We thank You, Lord, for Your goodness and mercy. We trust that You are working all things together for their good (**Romans 8:28**), and we declare that they will testify of Your healing power. Strengthen their faith, surround them with Your presence, and let them experience Your peace in every area of their life. In the mighty and holy name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

We encourage you to continue seeking God daily through prayer, reading His Word, and worship. Surround yourself with believers who can pray with you and speak life into your situation. Avoid isolating yourself or entertaining thoughts that contradict God’s promises. Instead, declare Scripture over your life, such as **Jeremiah 30:17 (WEB):** *"For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds," says Yahweh.* Stand firm in faith, and do not waver, for the Lord is with you. If the symptoms persist, do not delay in seeing a doctor, trusting that God can work through medicine as much as He can through miracles. We are standing with you in prayer and believe that God will bring you complete restoration—spirit, soul, and body.

We're here for you, friend. We've been thinking about you and wanted to reach out with another word of encouragement. We're not sure if you've heard this before, but we want to remind you that God is a good Father who loves you deeply. In times like these, it's easy to feel overwhelmed and alone, but remember, you're never alone. Jesus promised, "I will never leave you nor forsake you" (Hebrews 13:5). He's right there with you, every step of the way.

We also want to encourage you to keep seeking God in this. He's not distant or uncaring; He's right there, waiting for you to turn to Him. In Jeremiah 33:3, it says, "Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know." So keep calling out to Him, keep seeking Him, and trust that He's going to reveal Himself to you in powerful ways.

We're also praying for you, that God would fill you with His peace, that He would heal your body, and that He would reveal any lies or fears that might be holding you back. We believe that God is a healer, and we trust that He's going to touch you and bring restoration to every area of your life.

Keep fighting the good fight of faith, friend. We're cheering you on, and we're believing with you for a full and complete healing. Keep trusting in God, and remember, He's got this. He's got you.
