We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up these three precious souls to our Heavenly Father, who is the Great Physician and the only true source of healing and deliverance. We recognize that it is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to God, and it is by His stripes that we are healed (Isaiah 53:5). There is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). We pray that each of these individuals would come to know Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior, if they have not already, and that they would experience the fullness of His love, grace, and power in their lives.
For the first dear one, a mother struggling with early Alzheimer's, diabetes, and depression, we cry out to You, Lord. We know that You are close to the brokenhearted and save those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). Father, we ask that You would bring healing to her mind and body, restoring what has been lost and strengthening what remains. We rebuke the spirit of infirmity and confusion in the name of Jesus, and we declare that her mind is clear and her body is whole. We pray for wisdom for her caregivers and for peace that surpasses all understanding to guard her heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). Lord, help her to cast all her anxieties on You, for You care for her (1 Peter 5:7).
For the second beloved one who has endured the removal of breasts due to cancer and is now facing the heavy burden of chemotherapy, we lift her up to You, Jehovah Rapha, the Lord who heals. We declare that by Your stripes, she is healed (Isaiah 53:5), and we speak life and restoration over every cell in her body. We rebuke the spirit of cancer and death in the name of Jesus, and we command every trace of sickness to leave her body. Father, we ask that You would strengthen her physically, emotionally, and spiritually as she walks through this valley. Comfort her with Your presence and fill her with hope and joy, even in the midst of trial. Remind her that You are her refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1).
For the third individual, bound by the chains of alcohol, drugs, and medication addiction, we pray for complete deliverance and salvation in Jesus Christ. Lord, we know that You came to set the captives free (Luke 4:18), and we declare that this one is no longer a slave to addiction but a child of God, set free by the blood of Jesus. We rebuke the spirit of addiction and bondage in the name of Jesus, and we command it to leave and never return. Father, we ask that You would break every chain and stronghold in their life and replace it with Your peace and purpose. Draw them to Yourself, Lord, and let them experience the transforming power of Your love. Surround them with godly influences and a community of believers who can support and encourage them in their walk with You. Remind them that if the Son sets them free, they will be free indeed (John 8:36).
We also pray for the salvation of each of these individuals, if they have not already surrendered their lives to Jesus Christ. Lord, we ask that You would open their eyes to see the truth of the Gospel and soften their hearts to receive Your love. Let them know that You are not counting their sins against them (2 Corinthians 5:19) and that there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus (Romans 8:1). We pray that they would turn from their sins and put their trust in Jesus, who died for them and rose again, so that they may have eternal life (John 3:16).
Father, we thank You for Your faithfulness and for the promises You have given us in Your Word. We trust in Your goodness and Your perfect plan for each of these lives. Strengthen our faith as we wait on You, and help us to continue praying without ceasing, knowing that the prayer of the righteous is powerful and effective (James 5:16). We ask all these things in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
