Let us come together in the name of Jesus Christ to lift up this young man and his family in prayer. We are reminded of God's promise in Psalm 103:2-3 (WEB), "Bless Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits; who forgives all your sins; who heals all your diseases."
Firstly, we pray for his healing. Dear Lord, we come before You in the name of Jesus to ask for Your healing hand upon this young man. We pray that You will touch his body, dissolve the cyst on his kidney, normalize his blood pressure, and reduce the swelling in his legs, hands, and face. We speak against the spirit of infirmity and command it to leave his body in Jesus' name. We thank You, Lord, for Your healing power and believe that he will be made whole. We also pray for the doctors treating him, that You will guide their hands and give them wisdom to accurately diagnose and effectively treat his conditions.
Secondly, we address the academic struggles. We see from the request that each time he wants to progress with his academics, he falls sick. This could be a spiritual attack to hinder his progress. We rebuke any spirit of delay and setback that may be operating in his life. We declare that no weapon formed against him shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17, WEB). We pray that God will give him the strength and health to continue and excel in his studies. We also encourage him to seek God's will for his life and to trust in Him for direction and guidance.
Thirdly, we pray for his mother who is by his bedside. Dear Lord, we lift up this sister in Christ and pray that You will comfort her, strengthen her, and give her peace. We pray that You will fill her with Your Holy Spirit and enable her to be a source of encouragement and support to her son. We also pray for the rest of the family, that You will surround them with Your love and protection.
Lastly, we address the fact that the request did not mention the name of Jesus. It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God (John 14:6, WEB). Therefore, we encourage this family to call upon the name of Jesus, for it is the name above all names (Philippians 2:9-11, WEB). We also take this opportunity to remind them of the salvation message: that Jesus Christ came to save sinners (1 Timothy 1:15, WEB), and that whoever believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life (John 3:16, WEB).
Let us pray together:
"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus to lift up this young man and his family. We pray for Your healing hand upon him and Your guidance and protection upon his family. We rebuke any spiritual attack against his academics and declare that he will excel in Jesus' name. We also pray that this family will call upon the name of Jesus and experience His saving grace. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
