We come before the Lord with hearts lifted in faith, knowing that He is our Great Physician and the source of all healing. The request for healing of the stomach and lungs is one we bring earnestly before Him, for His Word assures us that He cares deeply for our physical and spiritual well-being. Yet we must first address something critical: this prayer was offered without invoking the name of Jesus Christ, through whom we have access to the Father. The Scriptures are clear—there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved, nor is there any other way to approach the throne of God. *"Jesus said to him, ‘I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me’* (John 14:6, WEB). *"There is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus"* (1 Timothy 2:5, WEB). Without calling upon His name, our prayers lack the authority and power that come through faith in Him.
We also notice the mention of "healing energy," which is not a biblical concept. Healing comes from God alone, not from vague spiritual energies or forces. The Lord does not operate through impersonal energies but through His sovereign will, His Spirit, and the finished work of Christ on the cross. *"He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live to righteousness; by his wounds you were healed"* (1 Peter 2:24, WEB). Our trust must be in Him alone, not in mystical or New Age ideas that dilute the truth of Scripture.
Now, let us lift this need before the Lord in the name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and Healer. We pray for complete restoration of the stomach and lungs, asking the Lord to remove all pain, inflammation, and disease. May His healing power flow through every cell, bringing wholeness and strength. We also pray for protection over this body, mind, and spirit, guarding against further harm or sickness. *"Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be healthy, even as your soul prospers"* (3 John 1:2, WEB). Lord, let this healing be a testimony to Your goodness and mercy, drawing this person closer to You in faith and surrender.
We also ask for wisdom—if there are lifestyle choices, dietary habits, or unconfessed sins contributing to this illness, reveal them and grant the grace to make changes that honor You. *"Don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s"* (1 Corinthians 6:19-20, WEB). May this time of physical trial lead to spiritual renewal and a deeper walk with You.
Finally, we rebuke any fear or anxiety surrounding this health struggle. *"Don’t be anxious for anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus"* (Philippians 4:6-7, WEB). Lord, replace fear with faith, doubt with trust, and weakness with Your mighty strength.
In the powerful name of Jesus Christ, we pray, believing that You hear us and will answer according to Your perfect will. Amen.
