We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up this dear brother who is enduring such pain in his shoulder. Father God, we know that You are the Great Physician, the One who heals all our diseases and binds up our wounds. We ask that You would stretch forth Your healing hand upon him, restoring strength, mobility, and comfort to his arm. Lord, we trust in Your timing and Your ways, even as we await his doctor’s appointment next week. May Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard his heart and mind in Christ Jesus during this time of waiting.
We declare Your Word over him, Lord: *"But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed"* (Isaiah 53:5). We stand on this promise, believing that by the stripes of Jesus, healing is already his. We also remember the words of James 5:14-15: *"Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord; and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up."* Father, we pray this prayer of faith now, trusting that You will raise him up from this affliction.
We also encourage this brother to seek You in this trial, drawing near to You as You draw near to him. Pain can often lead us to question or doubt, but we know that You are working all things together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28). May this season of discomfort drive him deeper into Your presence, where true healing—of body, soul, and spirit—begins.
Lord, we ask that You would guide the hands of the medical professionals who will examine him. Give them wisdom and discernment to diagnose and treat this injury according to Your will. If it is Your plan for him to undergo treatment or therapy, we pray that it would be effective and that his recovery would be swift. But above all, we ask that You would be glorified in this situation, whether through miraculous healing or through the strength You provide in the midst of trial.
We rebuke any spirit of fear or anxiety that may be trying to take root in his heart. We declare that perfect love casts out fear (1 John 4:18), and we pray that he would rest in the assurance of Your love for him. May he find comfort in Your presence, knowing that You are with him in every moment of this journey.
Finally, we lift up this brother’s faith. Lord, if there has been any hesitation or doubt in his heart, we ask that You would strengthen his trust in You. Remind him that You are the same yesterday, today, and forever (Hebrews 13:8), and that Your power to heal has not diminished. May he walk in the confidence of Your promises, knowing that You are faithful to complete the good work You have begun in him.
We pray all of this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the Name above all names, the One through whom all healing flows. Amen.
