Disciple of Prayer
Please pray for my family we are in desperate need of healing for myself my husband our 3 boys and daughter. My boys have turned against me due to them using drugs. Have called me the most horrific names. I have tried my very best to be the best mother I can and have always loved them unconditionally. The hate they have for me is so hurtful it breaks my heart. I know it’s the drugs talking not them. Please pray they are delivered from this addiction and pray for a full healing. They are beautiful boys who can have such a bright future. Please pray for my daughter who is the youngest not to be affected from all the fighting and yelling it’s truly so sad. Please pray for my husband to understand my emotions and to be a man of God and for God to speak to him. I love him so much but feel I have little support. Please pray his type one diabetes is healed and my heart issues are healed. Please open my kids eyes to God and to see how much they are loved and to ask for God into their lives. I am feeling so hopeless, desperate, betrayed, and alone. Please let the love of God fill our home and deliver us from all evil spirits and all hurt from the past. Help me change and be better help us all change and walk with God. I love my family and am in need of deep deep healing. Thank you.

We hear the deep anguish in your heart, and we lift up your family to the Lord with heavy hearts. The pain of seeing your sons ensnared by addiction and the weight of feeling unsupported by your husband is a burden no mother should have to carry alone. But we stand with you in faith, knowing that God sees your tears and hears your cries. The Bible tells us in Psalm 34:18, "Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit." You are not alone, even in your loneliness—God is with you, and so are we.

First, we must address the spiritual warfare at work in your home. The enemy seeks to destroy families, and addiction is one of his most vicious tools. The names your sons have called you and the hatred they’ve shown are not from them, but from the darkness that has taken hold. We rebuke the spirit of addiction in Jesus’ name and command it to leave your sons. We declare freedom over them, for "if the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed" (John 8:36). We pray for their minds to be renewed, their hearts to be softened, and their eyes to be opened to the truth of God’s love. The Lord is able to break every chain, and we stand on His promise in Joel 2:25, "I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten."

We also lift up your husband, that God would speak to him clearly and convict his heart to lead your family with godly strength. The Bible calls husbands to love their wives as Christ loved the church (Ephesians 5:25), and we pray he would step into that role with humility and courage. May he seek the Lord earnestly, for "the prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective" (James 5:16). We pray for his healing from diabetes and for your own heart issues, trusting in God’s power to restore health as He did for the woman with the issue of blood (Mark 5:34).

For your daughter, we ask that the Lord would be her shield and comfort. May she not be scarred by the chaos but instead find refuge in God’s presence. We pray she would know the love of her Heavenly Father, who promises in Isaiah 43:2, "When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they will not overflow you."

And for you, dear sister, we pray for strength that only comes from the Lord. You have loved your children unconditionally, and that is a reflection of God’s own heart. But we must also gently remind you that your hope cannot rest in your own efforts or even in your family’s healing—it must rest in Christ alone. Jesus said, "Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest" (Matthew 11:28). Surrender your pain, your fears, and your family to Him. Let His love fill the void in your heart, for only He can satisfy.

We also want to encourage you to seek godly counsel and support. Proverbs 11:14 tells us, "Where there is no counsel, the people fall; but in the multitude of counselors there is safety." You need people around you who can pray with you, stand with you, and help you navigate this storm. Do not isolate yourself in your pain.

Finally, we pray this prayer over your family:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up this family to You. Lord, we ask for Your healing touch to break the chains of addiction in these young men. Deliver them from the darkness that has blinded them and restore their minds and hearts to You. Father, we pray for the daughter, that she would be protected from the chaos and find peace in Your presence. We ask for Your healing in the husband’s body and spirit, that he would rise up as the godly leader this family needs. And for this mother, Lord, fill her with Your strength, Your peace, and Your hope. Remind her that she is not alone, and that You are working all things together for good (Romans 8:28). Let Your love flood their home, driving out every spirit of division, hurt, and despair. We declare that this family will walk in Your ways, and that Your name will be glorified in their midst. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.

We're right there with you, sister, feeling your pain and desperation. We've been where you are, and we know the agony of seeing our loved ones lost in addiction, feeling alone and unsupported. But remember, even in the darkest nights, God is there, holding you, loving you, and fighting for your family.

We've been praying for your boys, that God would break the chains of addiction that bind them. We ask that He would open their eyes to see the truth, soften their hearts, and renew their minds. We claim freedom over them in Jesus' name, just as He promised in John 8:36. We pray that God would reveal Himself to them, that they would know His love and turn back to Him.

For your husband, we ask that God would speak to him clearly, convict his heart, and lead him to be the godly husband and father you need him to be. We pray for his healing, both physically and spiritually, trusting in God's power to restore health and wholeness.

Your daughter, we pray that she would be a beacon of light in your home, a reflection of God's love and peace. We ask that she would not be scarred by the chaos around her but would find refuge in God's presence.

And for you, dear sister, we pray for strength. You've loved your children unconditionally, and that love is a reflection of God's own heart. But we also remind you to rest in Christ. He is your hope, your strength, your peace. Cast your cares on Him, for He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7).

We encourage you to seek godly counsel and support. You don't have to go through this alone. Proverbs 11:14 tells us that where there is no counsel, people fall, but in the multitude of counselors, there is safety. Surround yourself with people who can pray with you, stand with you, and help you navigate this storm.

Finally, we leave you with this promise from Jeremiah 29:11, "For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." Trust in Him, sister. He is working all things together for your good and His glory.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Be a Prayer Warrior: “Praying for others”

We want you to know how deeply we have carried your heart before the Lord these past days. It has been our privilege to stand in the gap for your precious family, lifting up each name—your husband, your three sons, and your sweet daughter—with tears and tenacity. We have prayed specifically for the chains of addiction to be broken, for the enemy’s lies to lose their grip, and for the Holy Spirit to flood every heart with conviction and repentance. We asked the Father to silence every hateful word spoken in anger and replace it with the truth of His unconditional love, reminding your boys that they are seen, cherished, and called to a future far greater than their struggles.

We have interceded for your daughter, asking God to shield her young heart from the chaos and fill her with His peace, joy, and security. For your husband, we prayed that the Lord would soften his heart, draw him closer to His presence, and awaken in him the strength and compassion of a godly leader. We also lifted up your physical needs—asking for healing from diabetes and heart issues—while also pleading for emotional restoration, that you would feel the Father’s arms around you in your moments of loneliness and despair.

Most of all, we have prayed for the light of Christ to pierce the darkness in your home, for reconciliation to begin, and for every broken relationship to be mended by His grace. We asked the Lord to help you release the weight of guilt and shame, to remind you that you are not alone, and to empower you to walk in His strength as you continue to love your family with His love.

If the Lord has moved in any of these areas—if there has been even a small shift, a moment of clarity, or a glimpse of hope—we would be so encouraged to hear your praise report. Your testimony could be a blessing to others walking a similar path. If, however, the burden still feels heavy and the answers seem distant, please know we are not finished praying. We will continue to stand with you, lifting your family before the throne of grace until every prayer is answered according to God’s perfect will.

May the Lord bless you with His peace that surpasses all understanding, and may you feel His presence in a tangible way as you seek Him. We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.
