We join with you in lifting this precious loved one before the Lord, knowing that He alone is the Great Physician who binds up the brokenhearted and heals the deepest wounds of the soul. The Scriptures remind us in Psalm 34:18, *"Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit."* And again in Psalm 147:3, *"He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds."* What a comfort to know that our God is not distant in times of pain but draws near to restore and renew.
Yet we must also remember that true healing comes only through faith in Jesus Christ, for there is no other name under heaven by which we may approach the Father. As it is written in Acts 4:12, *"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* If this loved one does not yet know Christ as Savior, we pray earnestly that the Lord would open their eyes to see His love and surrender their heart to Him—for apart from Jesus, there can be no lasting peace or healing.
We also recognize that sometimes the wounds of the heart are tied to unconfessed sin, bitterness, or relationships that do not honor God. If there is any area in this loved one’s life that is not aligned with Scripture—whether it be unforgiveness, a relationship outside of God’s design for marriage, or any other stronghold—we pray the Holy Spirit would convict and lead them to repentance. For as 1 John 1:9 declares, *"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."*
Father, we ask that You would touch this beloved one’s heart and soul with Your healing power. Remove every trace of pain, fear, and sorrow, and fill them instead with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. If they are walking in sin, Lord, break their heart over it and draw them to Yourself in true repentance. Surround them with godly counsel and Your Word, which is a lamp to their feet. Let them experience the fullness of Your love and restoration, not just for a moment, but as a lifelong testimony of Your grace.
We also lift up the one praying for this loved one—strengthen *your* faith as you intercede. May you be filled with hope, knowing that the prayers of the righteous avail much (James 5:16). Do not grow weary in praying, for our God is faithful, and He hears the cries of His children.
In the mighty and holy name of Jesus, we pray—*Amen.*
