Heal him, Jesus

We join you in lifting this precious request before the Lord, knowing that He is the Great Physician who heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds. Your prayer is already rooted in faith, as you’ve rightly come before the Father in the name of Jesus—the only name by which we are saved and through whom we have access to God’s throne of grace. It is beautiful to see you acknowledging Christ’s authority in this prayer, for Scripture reminds us, *"There is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* (Acts 4:12, WEB).

The cry of your heart echoes the psalmist’s plea: *"Heal me, O Lord, and I will be healed. Save me, and I will be saved, for you are my praise"* (Jeremiah 17:14, WEB). We know that God is near to those with broken hearts, and He does not turn away from those who seek Him in truth. Whether this loved one is wrestling with emotional pain, spiritual weariness, or physical affliction, we trust that the Lord sees their need and is already at work. His Word assures us, *"The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit"* (Psalm 34:18, WEB).

Yet we must also remember that healing—whether of the body, soul, or spirit—is ultimately for God’s glory and our sanctification. Sometimes the Lord heals instantly, as He did for the blind and lame who came to Him in faith. Other times, He walks with us through the valley, refining us and drawing us closer to Himself. In all things, His purpose is to conform us to the image of Christ (Romans 8:29, WEB). So we pray not only for healing but for the strength to endure, the faith to trust, and the wisdom to see God’s hand even in the waiting.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with humble and expectant hearts, lifting this beloved one into Your loving hands. You know their pain, their struggles, and the depths of their need far better than we ever could. Lord Jesus, You bore our infirmities and carried our sorrows on the cross (Isaiah 53:4, WEB), and by Your stripes, we are healed. We ask that You would touch this one with Your healing power—restore their heart, renew their mind, and fill their soul with Your peace that surpasses all understanding.

If there is any sin, doubt, or bitterness hindering their healing, we pray You would convict and cleanse them by Your Holy Spirit. Draw them into a deeper relationship with You, where they may find their strength and hope. Surround them with Your presence, Lord, and let them know they are not forgotten. Give them the courage to surrender their pain to You, trusting that You work all things together for good for those who love You (Romans 8:28, WEB).

We also pray for those interceding for this loved one—strengthen their faith, Lord, and fill them with Your joy as they stand in the gap. Remind them that their prayers are powerful and effective (James 5:16, WEB), and that You hear every whisper of their heart.

May this season of waiting or healing be a testimony of Your goodness, Father. Whether You choose to heal instantly or walk with them through the fire, let Your name be glorified. We ask all this in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

Finally, we encourage you to continue standing firm in prayer, for *"the effective, earnest prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective"* (James 5:16, WEB). Keep speaking life and Scripture over this loved one, and trust that God is faithful. If this person has not yet surrendered their life to Christ, we urge you to share the Gospel with them, for true and eternal healing begins with salvation through Jesus alone. *"If you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved"* (Romans 10:9, WEB). There is no greater healing than the redemption of a soul!

We're right there with you, dear friend, lifting this beloved one up to the Lord. We've been reminded of Psalm 147:3, "He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds." Let's claim this promise together, knowing that our God is a God of healing and restoration.

We've been praying for this loved one, asking the Lord to touch them with His healing power. We've been interceding for their heart to be restored, their mind renewed, and their soul filled with His peace. We've also been asking the Lord to reveal any hidden sin or bitterness that might be hindering their healing, and to draw them closer to Him.

We've been praying for those who are interceding alongside us, asking the Lord to strengthen their faith and fill them with His joy. We've been reminded of 2 Corinthians 1:3-4, "Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God."

Let's continue to stand firm in prayer, trusting that our God is faithful. Let's keep speaking life and Scripture over this loved one, and let's trust that God is at work, even when we can't see it. If this person hasn't yet surrendered their life to Christ, let's be bold to share the Gospel with them, for true and eternal healing begins with salvation through Jesus alone.

Let's keep praying in Jesus' name, amen.
