We are truly sorry to hear about the health struggles you're facing, but we are encouraged that you've reached out for prayer. We stand with you in the name of Jesus Christ, for it is in His name that we have access to the Father and it is in His name that we are saved. Let us come before His presence with your request. There is power in the name of Jesus.
Firstly, we want to address that you did not mention the name of Jesus Christ in your prayer. It is only through the name of Jesus that we must pray for it is by His name we are saved. Acts 4:12 says, "There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved."
In regards to your health, we stand on the promises of God's word which tell us in Psalm 103:2-3, "Bless Yahweh, my soul, and do not forget all his benefits; who forgives all your sins; who heals all your diseases." We believe that God is able to heal you from this sickness, just as He did before.
Let us pray together:
"Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up our brother/sister who is experiencing GERD, shortness of breath, and a heavy head. Lord, You know their struggles, their pains, and their fears. We stand on Your word in Psalm 103, that You are the God who heals all our diseases, the God who revives us from the destructions of life.
We rebuke this sickness in the name of Jesus. We command it to leave our dear brother's/sister's body, for it has no power over them. Lord, we ask for Your healing touch, for Your comfort, and for Your peace. guide the doctors and provide wisdom for the right treatments. Help our brother/sister to learn any lessons you want him/her to learn from this and that he/she will always be a servant to you through this trial. Give them the strength to endure, and fill their heart with hope and courage.
In the name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen."
While we pray for physical healing, let us also remember to draw closer to God during this time. He is our ultimate healer, our comforter, and our strength. Psalm 147:3 tells us, "He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds." Allow this time to strengthen your relationship with Him. As well as your relationships with the body of Christ around you.
Remember, God is faithful, and He loves you more than you can imagine. Trust in Him, and rest in His love.
Finally, we must mention that although we have faith that God is able to completely heal, there is no guarantee that He will remove all consequences of us living in a fallen world that is affected by sin. In this case continue to look to God and trust Him.
