Harvest Is Coming!
I will give you rain in due season, and the land shall yield her increase and the trees of the field yield their fruit. Leviticus 26:4 (KJV)
I thought my roots were deep but a recent storm nearly blew me over!
After 11 years of marriage, I found out my spouse was having an affair. I was devastated! I thought I was living a happy life with a wonderful husband and two beautiful children. I did not foresee the devastation from the storm that suddenly damaged my “happy home.â€
Although my husband did not leave our “happy home,†we have been living in total dismay. Hurt, pain, agony, but we strive to forget the past and move forward.
This has been very painful at times…which has also brought me closer to God than ever before.
My life was good before the storm. Yes, I frequently attended church, I prayed every day, and continuously thanked God for my blessings.
My life has changed significantly after the storm. I attend church more, I fast weekly, I pray continuously throughout the day, I read my bible daily, I thank God for His grace, mercy and everlasting favor every day, and, most of all, I am asking God to save my husband’s soul and to save ALL prodigals every day!
Yes, I realize things could be worse. My husband could have left our family to be with the other woman who was constantly asking him to leave his family. Not caring for the devastation it already had on our family. Not caring how this would affect our children, her own children. Although he did not physically leave us, he mentally left us for some time.
I thank God for opening my eyes to see my own faults, and ask God for His divine help in changing my heart. Now I can effectively pray for God to save my husband and all prodigals so they can see the light and be set free from Satan’s lies and deception. I pray daily that God will remove the strongholds from our lives.
The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much. James 5:16 (NKJV)
I was spiritually blind and separated from God by sin. Jesus, the Savior, died on the cross to pay for my sins. Through faith in Him, I know I have been forgiven and have been adopted into God’s family. That is why I am not the same!
He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress: My God, in Him I will trust.†Psalm 91:1-2 (NKJV)
I thank God for preparing me for the blessings in my future. I surrender my heart, mind, will and emotions to my heavenly father so that I can live as a testimony of His works in my life in Jesus name.
Thank God for the storms!
