Harassed by so called family. Prayers needed please

Anonymous

Beloved of All
There is a spiritual aspect to the following. Two extended DNA relatives in particular who I grew up around turned on me. I KNEW what they were “up to”. One was verbally abusive and after I confronted them they got worse and I ceased contact. The second one demanded that I reestablish contact so I cut them off as well. The second one kept using different email addresses to harass me so I deleted that particular account. Then the second one tried to contact me through his stepdaughter (I cut her off too). Father in Jesus name please keep these people away from me now and forevermore. Long ago there was love but now their hearts have grown cold through their worship of Satan. I never expected to be abused by people who claimed to love me so much. Now I’m lonely as I don’t have parents or siblings or anymore trusted friends or family or spiritual leaders. I’m alone as if I can’t fight bullied. Loneliness has an impact on longevity in terms of low physical health and more susceptible to disease and breakdown of the body. Dealing with “jumpers” is exhausting. Nasty spirits jumping from one person to the next to attack others.

We hear the deep pain in your heart, and we stand with you in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, who is your refuge and strength. You have done well to recognize the spiritual warfare at play here—these attacks are not merely from flesh and blood but from the powers of darkness that seek to isolate, discourage, and destroy. Yet we know that *"greater is he who is in you than he who is in the world"* (1 John 4:4, WEB). You are not alone, for the Lord is with you, and He has promised never to leave you nor forsake you (Deuteronomy 31:6).

The betrayal you’ve endured at the hands of those who once claimed to love you is a grievous wound, one that mirrors the suffering of our Savior, who was also betrayed by those close to Him (Psalm 41:9). But take heart, for Jesus understands your pain and is near to the brokenhearted (Psalm 34:18). The loneliness you feel is real, but it is not your final reality. The Lord sees your isolation and longs to fill it with His presence. He is the Father to the fatherless (Psalm 68:5), the friend who sticks closer than a brother (Proverbs 18:24), and the one who restores what the enemy has stolen (Joel 2:25).

The harassment you’ve faced is a tactic of the enemy to wear you down, but we declare in Jesus’ name that *"no weapon that is formed against you will prevail"* (Isaiah 54:17). You were wise to cut off contact with those who refused to repent, for Scripture warns us not to be unequally yoked with unbelievers (2 Corinthians 6:14) or to cast our pearls before swine (Matthew 7:6). These individuals have shown by their actions that they are not walking in the light but in darkness, and their allegiance is not to Christ but to the father of lies. You did not cause their rebellion, and you cannot fix it—only the Holy Spirit can convict and transform hearts. Your responsibility is to guard your own heart and walk in obedience to God (Proverbs 4:23).

As for the "jumpers"—those demonic spirits that seek to torment you through others—we stand against them in the authority of Jesus Christ. These spirits are real, but they are also defeated foes. Jesus has already disarmed them and triumphed over them at the cross (Colossians 2:15). We command every harassing spirit assigned against you to be bound and cast into the abyss in Jesus’ name. We declare that no weapon of accusation, manipulation, or fear shall prosper against you. The blood of Jesus covers you, and the angels of the Lord encamp around you (Psalm 34:7).

Now, let us address the loneliness and its toll on your health. It is true that prolonged isolation can weaken the body and spirit, but we must remember that our ultimate hope is not in human companionship but in the Lord Himself. He is the one who sustains you (Psalm 55:22) and renews your strength (Isaiah 40:31). That said, it is not God’s will for you to remain without godly fellowship. We encourage you to seek out a Bible-believing church where you can find brothers and sisters in Christ who will stand with you, pray with you, and walk alongside you. The body of Christ is meant to be a family (Galatians 6:10), and while not every church is perfect, the Lord will lead you to a place where you can be nourished and supported.

If you are struggling to find such a community, we urge you to pray earnestly for the Lord to open doors. Ask Him to bring godly, trustworthy believers into your life—people who will speak truth, offer encouragement, and stand in the gap for you. And in the meantime, draw near to God in prayer, worship, and the reading of His Word. He will fill the empty places in your heart with His love, which is deeper and more enduring than any human affection.

Finally, we want to affirm that you are not powerless. Though you may feel bullied or overwhelmed, the Spirit of God within you is mighty (Zechariah 4:6). You have the authority in Christ to resist the devil, and he *will* flee from you (James 4:7). Stand firm in your faith, clothed in the full armor of God (Ephesians 6:10-18), and trust that the Lord is fighting for you (Exodus 14:14).

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Your Son, Jesus Christ, lifting up our brother/sister who is weary from battle and burdened by betrayal. Lord, You see the wounds inflicted by those who were once called family, and You know the depth of the pain they have caused. We ask You to heal these wounds, Father, and to bind up the brokenhearted (Isaiah 61:1). Let Your love flood every place of loneliness and rejection, reminding our dear one that they are *Your* beloved child, chosen and precious in Your sight (1 Peter 2:9).

We stand against every spirit of harassment, manipulation, and accusation that has been sent against them. By the blood of Jesus, we break every curse, every assignment of the enemy, and every demonic stronghold that has sought to torment them. We command these spirits to be bound and cast out in Jesus’ name. Let no weapon formed against them prosper, and let every tongue that rises against them in judgment be condemned (Isaiah 54:17).

Father, we ask You to surround them with Your angels, to be a wall of fire around them (Zechariah 2:5), and to hide them in the secret place of Your presence (Psalm 91:1). Give them wisdom to discern the voices around them and courage to stand firm in Your truth. Let them not grow weary in well-doing, but renew their strength like the eagle’s (Isaiah 40:31).

Lord, we pray for godly fellowship—true brothers and sisters in Christ who will walk with them, encourage them, and stand with them in prayer. Lead them to a church where Your Word is preached boldly and where they can find refuge and family. Until then, Father, be their ever-present help, their comfort, and their joy.

We declare that You, Lord, are their portion and their cup (Psalm 16:5). You are the one who sustains them, and in You, they lack no good thing (Psalm 34:10). Restore to them the years the locusts have eaten (Joel 2:25), and let them see Your goodness in the land of the living (Psalm 27:13).

We thank You, Father, that You are faithful, and that You will complete the good work You have begun in them (Philippians 1:6). Let them rise up in the strength of the Lord, clothed in righteousness and armed with Your Word. May they walk in victory, knowing that the battle belongs to You (1 Samuel 17:47).

In the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.

We want to leave you with this encouragement: though the road has been hard, the Lord is refining you through this fire. He is teaching you to rely on Him alone, and in that place of dependence, you will find a strength and peace that the world cannot give. Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and finisher of your faith (Hebrews 12:2). He will never fail you. If you feel led, we encourage you to read and meditate on Psalm 91, which is a powerful declaration of God’s protection over His children. You are not forgotten. You are not abandoned. You are *His*, and He is fighting for you. Stand firm, dear one. Victory is yours in Christ.

Dear friend, we're here with you, standing in the gap. We've been where you are, feeling the pain of betrayal and the loneliness that follows. It's exhausting, we know. But remember, you're not alone. Jesus is right there with you, and He's not finished with you yet.

We've been praying for you, claiming the promises of God over your life. We've asked the Lord to heal your wounds, to fill the emptiness you feel, and to bind up every spirit that's trying to harass or torment you. We've also prayed for wisdom and discernment, that you would know how to navigate these waters and trust in the Lord's leading.

We want to encourage you to keep pressing in, to keep seeking the Lord. He sees you, He knows your pain, and He's working all things together for your good (Romans 8:28). Keep your eyes on Him, and trust that He's got this. You're in a battle, yes, but it's a battle that the Lord has already won. You just need to stand firm in that truth.

And hey, if you ever need someone to talk to, we're here. We're not perfect, but we're trying to be the hands and feet of Jesus. So let's walk this road together, okay? You're not alone, and you never will be. God's got you, and so do we.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
