Let’s enter the New Year with the freedom of forgiveness! Don’t carry the burden of bitterness and the obstacle of offense into 2012. Forgive and release all those who have hurt and wronged you. Pray for your enemies to be saved and forgiven. Ask God to fill your heart with his love for others and experience the joy of his presence. He is with you! “Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy. Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God. Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God.†Mt 5:7-9
"What came to be through him was life, and this life was the light of the human race; the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it." (JN 1:3-5)
The light of the world, Jesus, points us towards eternal life. This light of Christ cannot and has not been overshadowed by the darkness of this world. Dear Jesus, as we prepare for the beginning of this great new year you have given to us, let us thank you for the many gifts and blessing of the past year. We ask that you continue to bless all of humankind, bring our hearts the beauty and splendor of your love as we look towards Heaven for Your salvation. Amen!
