Been offline for a while due to limited access, nevertheless I'm still journeying through scripture (walking on a word).
For the past few months I have had the awesome opportunity, through the shelter in which I currently live, to volunteer at their soup kitchen. I served meals, helped to issue clothing and on occasion or three found myself in the position of peacemaker in the midst of unfortunate and unnecessary altercations. I have also had the great pleasure of serving elderly women, or as I prefer to call them (GSLs=grace seasoned ladies) in one of the houses where I resided. I cooked for them, cleaned and for a short time even drove the van for them. I of course prayed with them and they in turn shared their wisdom and knowledge with me. I prayed that God would bless them with a mini bus to provide greater comfort during transport. Perhaps 2016 will yield that fruit.
My prayer for each of you is that 2016 will be your most blessed, successful and prosperous year yet. I pray the we will all have the heart and courage to submit ourselves wholly to God's Will. Having just celebrated Christmas, I think on Mary and Joseph: I'm so grateful that they didn't rely on their own common sense nor that of their friends, family or counsel, but rather chose to give themselves over to God's plan for their lives, and in doing so brought forth our Lord and Savior (how awesome is that?) God reminds us that His ways and thoughts are as high as the heaven is above the earth from ours. Even our resources are but a drop in the bucket compared to what He has in store for us.
Thank you all for your prayers in 2015 as I continue to pray God's blessings for each of you.
2016!!!!!
