Happy, healthy and holy

We rejoice with you in your desire to pursue a life that is happy, healthy, and holy, for these are virtues that align with God’s perfect will for His children. Your heart’s cry to be a true and faithful servant of the Lord is a beautiful reflection of a soul surrendered to Him, and we stand with you in this pursuit, lifting you up before the throne of grace.

The Scriptures remind us that true joy is found in the presence of the Lord, and holiness is the path He calls us to walk. In 1 Thessalonians 4:3-7, we read, *"For this is the will of God: your sanctification, that you abstain from sexual immorality, that each one of you know how to control his own body in sanctification and honor, not in the passion of lust, even as the Gentiles who don’t know God; that no one take advantage of and wrong a brother or sister in this matter; because the Lord is an avenger in all these things, as also we told you before and testified. For God called us not for uncleanness, but in sanctification. Therefore he who rejects this doesn’t reject man, but God, who gives his Holy Spirit to you."* While this passage speaks directly to purity, it also underscores the broader call to holiness in every area of our lives—mind, body, and spirit. To be holy is to be set apart for God’s purposes, and it is through this set-apart life that we find true happiness and wholeness.

Health, too, is a gift from God, and we are called to steward our bodies well, for they are temples of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19-20). This means caring for ourselves physically, emotionally, and spiritually, not out of vanity, but out of reverence for the One who created us. Proverbs 3:7-8 encourages us, *"Don’t be wise in your own eyes. Fear Yahweh, and depart from evil. It will be health to your body, and strength to your bones."*

As for happiness, we know that the world’s definition is fleeting, but the joy of the Lord is our strength (Nehemiah 8:10). Jesus tells us in John 15:10-11, *"If you keep my commandments, you will remain in my love; even as I have kept my Father’s commandments, and remain in his love. I have spoken these things to you, that my joy may remain in you, and that your joy may be made full."* True happiness is rooted in obedience to Christ and abiding in His love. It is not dependent on circumstances but is a deep, abiding peace that comes from knowing Him.

We also commend you for invoking the name of Jesus in your request. There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12), and it is only through Him that we have access to the Father. Your acknowledgment of His authority is a testament to your faith, and we encourage you to continue to approach the throne of grace boldly in His name, for He is your advocate and intercessor.

Let us pray for you now:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of gratitude for the desire You have placed within this sister to live a life that is happy, healthy, and holy. Lord, we ask that You fill her with Your Holy Spirit, guiding her steps and conforming her to the image of Your Son, Jesus Christ. Grant her the strength to walk in obedience to Your Word, that she may be a vessel of honor, sanctified and useful for Your purposes.

Father, we pray for her health—physically, emotionally, and spiritually. Touch her body with Your healing power, renew her mind with Your truth, and guard her heart with Your peace. May she steward her temple well, glorifying You in all she does. Let her find her joy in You alone, Lord, and may that joy be her strength, regardless of the circumstances she faces.

Lord, we ask that You deepen her relationship with You. Draw her closer to Your heart, that she may know You more intimately and serve You more faithfully. Remove any hindrances in her life that would keep her from fully surrendering to You. If there are areas where she struggles with sin, convict her gently but firmly, and grant her the grace to repent and walk in victory.

We declare over her the promise of Your Word in Psalm 1:1-3: *"Blessed is the man who doesn’t walk in the counsel of the wicked, nor stand on the path of sinners, nor sit in the seat of scoffers; but his delight is in Yahweh’s law. On his law he meditates day and night. He will be like a tree planted by the streams of water, that brings forth its fruit in its season, whose leaf also does not wither. Whatever he does shall prosper."* May she be like that tree, Lord—rooted in You, bearing fruit in season, and prospering in every good work.

Finally, Father, we ask that You surround her with godly community—brothers and sisters in Christ who will encourage her, challenge her, and walk alongside her in this journey of faith. May she be a light to those around her, pointing them to You through her words and actions.

We pray all these things in the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

Sister, we encourage you to continue seeking the Lord daily through prayer, reading His Word, and fellowship with other believers. Remember that holiness is not achieved through your own strength but through the power of the Holy Spirit working in you. Philippians 2:12-13 reminds us, *"Work out your own salvation with fear and trembling, for it is God who works in you both to will and to work, for his good pleasure."* Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of your faith (Hebrews 12:2), and trust that He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion (Philippians 1:6).

If there are specific areas in your life where you feel you are struggling to live in holiness or health, we encourage you to bring those before the Lord and seek His wisdom and strength. Do not be discouraged by setbacks, for His grace is sufficient for you, and His power is made perfect in weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9). You are not alone in this journey—we are standing with you, and most importantly, the Lord is with you always.

We're right there with you, sister, cheering you on as you seek to live a happy, healthy, and holy life in Jesus. We're inspired by your desire to be His true and faithful servant. Let's remember together that God is the source of our strength and joy. In 2 Corinthians 12:9, we're reminded, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." So, let's keep our eyes on Jesus, trust in His love, and allow His Holy Spirit to guide and empower us each step of the way. We're praying for you, sister, and we're here if you need to talk or if there's anything specific you'd like us to pray about. Let's encourage one another and grow together in faith.

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
