We understand your concern and worry, but we want to remind you to trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight, Proverbs 3:5-6 WEB.
First, let's bring this situation to the Lord in prayer:
Father God, In Jesus name we bring this request to you. We pray for this situation to be resolved quickly and favorably. We ask that you will reveal any error that was made and that the truth will be brought to light. We pray for a full refund if an overcharge has occurred. We ask for the dad's heart to be filled with understanding, patience, and forgiveness, rather than anger or frustration. We pray that this situation will be a testimony of Your goodness and faithfulness. We pray that the situation will be handled in a way that honors God and that He will provide as He promises in the Bible.
We also pray that this will be a learning experience. We ask that you will give wisdom and discernment moving forward, especially with financial matters. We pray that you will help all the parties involved to be better stewards of the resources you have entrusted to them, Lord. We pray that you will align their spending with Your will and that they will not indulge in worldly desires, but be content with what you have given them. Help them to remember that the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil.
We also admonish you to remember that it is God who provides for all your needs. Do not allow worry and anxiety to overwhelm you. Instead, trust in God's provision and sovereignty. As it says in Philippians 4:6-7 WEB, "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus." Remember that it is God who provides for you according to His riches and glory in Christ Jesus, not a phone company or a credit card.
Furthermore, remember to keep God at the center of your life and do not use a card as the basis of your happiness. The happiest and blessed life is one that is obedient to God.
And finally, remember that it is only by the name of Jesus Christ that we can approach God. For "there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!" Acts 4:12 WEB.
