Humble Servant of All
Had an extra blessing or two in this past week. My husband's hours being cut put us on welfare so for a $3 copay I have been able to go to the dentist. I have also had a treadmill stress test and have to go to the cardiologist tomorrow. If I had to rely on just my insurance none of this would have happened because we couldn't afford the Co pays and what the insurance wouldn't cover. That's why I haven't been to a doctor, dentist or had medication in nearly 2 years.
I ran out of fuel in my husband's old truck. It's a diesel. If any of you know anything about diesels running out of fuel, it is bad. His fuel gauge is broken. He was quite angry because he had to leave work to come to the gas station, yes I ran out at the gas station. I had $3. That's all the money we had. Which with thus truck is not enough to get fuel to the whatever. But he had to come bleed the fuel line. Some truck driver tried to help me and gave me $20 for fuel @ $3.50/gal. So my husband ended up missing 6 hours of work. Not good and it was his only day of work til January 7th. He did pick up a job with his Buddy Monday. He will get paid sometime this week for that.
Monday I managed to sign a device over to someone to get it off our cell bill. They weren't going to because of the past due bill. The guy that wanted the device paid the past due bill.
Tuesday my husband stopped by his work on the way to take me for my ouch root canal and his boss said starting January he would be temporary full time. Now we have to find the money to get him to work 5 days a week and money for food because that will cut out our food stamps and his payck for this month will only be about $200 for the whole month.
We pray that his ex doesn't take him back to court for more child support. Child support refused to adjust his child support according to his income when his hours were cut twice. She always knows when he gets good paychecks because that's when she goes after him for more support. He wants to take care of his child but she should do her fair share. She told him she would tell the court she would agree to a reduction until she got before the judge and then said no. She makes more at her job than my husband does at his. She is receiving $440/mo in child support after a $25 reduction. His daughter is working full time and they are both on welfare maximum food stamp benefit and medicaid. My husband doesn't qualify medicaid because he works. Her only bill is $50 car insurance and a $50/prepaid phone bill. They live with his Rex's grandmother. I get angry. My ex died owing me nearly $16,000 in child support arrears. But my husband can't get a break.
Looking forward to more blessings. We won't have a tree for Christmas again this year because our Charlie brown tree bit the dust- it went from three legs to two and I couldn't fix it; there is no money to buy one; and our woods are just really tall trees nothing short enough and I am not climbing a 60 ft tree to cut the top of the pine tree. I know that isn't what Christmas is about but this year I actually feel like Christmas. Last year we didn't have a tree because I was in a ba hum bug mood. Being broke all the time really sucks.
