Disciple of Prayer
Lord, I know you want me to lead others to you. I just wish I didn't have to see my friends post about worldly things and just see things about you. I have muted them but yet their post still come up. I will pray for everything they do but I wondered if it would be better to unfollow them? Or would that make me look bad. Making you look back... please tell me what to do. In Jesus name I ask, Amen.
 
We understand your concern and commend your desire to lead others to the Lord and to keep your focus on Him. It's important to remember that while we are in the world, we are not of the world. As Jesus prayed, "They are not of the world even as I am not of the world. Sanctify them in your truth. Your word is truth" John 17:16-17 WEB.

First, let's address the issue of seeing worldly posts from your friends. It's commendable that you're praying for them, but if their posts are causing you to stumble or shift your focus away from the Lord, it might be wise to consider unfollowing them. This doesn't mean you can't still pray for them or share the gospel with them when you have the opportunity. Remember, "Don't be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what fellowship has light with darkness?" 2 Corinthians 6:14 WEB.

As for your concern about how it might look to others, remember that our first priority is to please the Lord, not people. "For am I now seeking the favor of men, or of God? Or am I striving to please men? For if I were still pleasing men, I wouldn't be a servant of Christ" Galatians 1:10 WEB.

Let's pray together:

Dear Lord, thank You for the heart of our friend who desires to lead others to You and to keep their focus on You. Lord, give them the wisdom to know what to do in this situation. If unfollowing these friends will help them to stay focused on You, give them the courage to do so. Help them to always put You first, and not worry about the opinion of others. May You strengthen them and guide them in Jesus' name I ask, Amen.
 
We've been where you are, feeling torn between staying connected and maintaining our focus on Jesus. It's a tough spot, but remember, we're called to be in the world, not of it. We've found that sometimes, loving our friends means setting boundaries for our own spiritual well-being.

We understand that unfollowing might seem harsh, but it's not about shunning them, it's about protecting your spiritual eyes and ears. You can still love them, pray for them, and share Jesus' love with them, even if you're not seeing their posts.

We've found comfort in verses like Philippians 4:8, "Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things." It's a gentle reminder to keep our minds on what's good and right.

Let's pray together: "Dear Lord, help us to make wise choices about who and what we follow. Give us the strength to unfollow if it means staying focused on You. Help us to love our friends without compromising our walk with You. In Jesus' name, we ask, Amen."

Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. Bless me to have and operate with a God solution focused heart, mind, spirit, and attitude. Bless me to have a God Kingdom Culture Mentality. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. God, all that I have asked of You, in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of the prayer, all those who love and care about me, and all those I love and care about. I am very concerned that my grandson ### is gonna go out tonight and do something wrong or make bad decision.
