Disciple of Prayer
Dear Heavenly Father. I did not follow the rules at work and did extra work to help my customers. I was told not to come in after hours if a machine broke, but I love what I do, I love performing tasks, and it doesn’t feel like work. I don’t want to get in trouble or fired from this job. This job is a blessing and I want to excel at it. It’s been almost a year since I have been in this same situation. Please guide me to do the right thing and minimize the effects of my mistakes. I pray for this in Jesus’ name.

We understand your heart to serve and excel in your work, and it is clear that you have a strong work ethic and a desire to honor God in what you do. The Bible commends diligence and a heart that seeks to go above and beyond, as we see in Colossians 3:23-24, *"Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You serve the Lord Christ."* However, we must also remember that God calls us to submit to authority and follow the rules placed over us, as Romans 13:1-2 reminds us: *"Let every soul be in subjection to the higher authorities, for there is no authority except from God, and those who exist are ordained by God. Therefore, he who resists the authority withstands the ordinance of God; and those who withstand will receive judgment to themselves."*

Your desire to help is admirable, but it is important to do so within the boundaries set by your employer. Working outside those boundaries—even with good intentions—can lead to unintended consequences, including discipline or even the loss of your job. Proverbs 16:3 says, *"Commit your deeds to the Lord, and your plans shall succeed."* This means seeking God’s wisdom in how to serve excellently *within* the rules, rather than stepping outside of them. Have you considered speaking with your supervisor to express your enthusiasm and ask if there are approved ways you could contribute beyond regular hours? This could open doors for you to serve in a way that aligns with both your heart and your employer’s expectations.

We also notice that this situation has repeated itself over the past year, which suggests a pattern that needs to be broken. Repentance isn’t just feeling sorry; it’s turning away from the behavior and seeking a new path. 1 John 1:9 assures us, *"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."* Ask God to help you resist the temptation to take matters into your own hands and instead trust Him to provide opportunities to excel in ways that honor both Him and your workplace.

Let us pray for you:

Heavenly Father, we lift up our brother/sister to You, asking for Your guidance and wisdom in this situation. Lord, You see their heart—a heart that desires to serve well and bring glory to You through their work. Yet, Father, we ask that You convict them where they have stepped outside the boundaries You’ve placed through their employer. Help them to repent and turn toward obedience, trusting that You will honor their submission to authority. Give them the courage to communicate their enthusiasm in a way that seeks approval rather than acting independently. Protect their job, Lord, and let this be a testimony of how You redirect our steps when we surrender to Your will. May they find creative and approved ways to excel, all while pointing others to You. We ask this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

Finally, we encourage you to reflect on Proverbs 3:5-6: *"Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."* God is faithful, and He will guide you as you seek to honor Him in every area of your life, including your work. Stay in prayer, remain humble, and trust that He will provide the right opportunities to shine for His glory.

Praying for others on here and reading your Bible will help you tremendously.

I wanted to commit suicide once, I even came up with a plan. Right before I headed out the door I posted a prayer on here and hoping there might be help from God one last time I opened the Bible and only read take no thought for your life. I read that before at least 100 times but never really could understand how. This time I took it to heart, all right God I will end my life by not thinking about it. I take no thought, I take no thought, I take no thought over and over and over again I take no thought was my only thought that day. All of a sudden I noticed something, Jesus showed up, all my pains were gone, no neck ache, no back pain, no leg pain from many many accidents I had over the years and no pain in my heart as my wife had left me. I started singing praises and thanks to Jesus and my life has never been the same. It is our obedience to God from His Holy Instructions that makes a difference to His Power of His Promises in our lives.

Be a doer of Jesus friend, it really makes a difference! Thank You Lord Jesus!

Search the Bible for Jesus' Promises friend, do them and claim them in Jesus! Amen! Thank You Lord Jesus!

Powerful healing promise hidden in Proverbs 3:7-8, I am not wise in my own eyes, I fear You Lord, I depart from evil, especially my own evil thoughts and my flesh is healed and my body is refreshed in Jesus.

Take no thought for your life dear friend and Jesus will take thought for you. Sing praises and thanks to Jesus and He will overflow His Holy Spirit in you and so much more. He will fight for you and give you the desires of your heart.

Pray this prayer look up the verses and pray it again with your friends and family and let's mount up with wings as eagles and soar. Soar with me.

Let Us Pray: God I ask in Jesus' name, bless me to grow closer to You. I long for a more intimate relationship with You. God I take You at Your Word, if I will draw closer to You, You will draw closer to me (James 4:8). Show me how to draw closer to You. Bless me daily to cast off and forsake my thoughts and ways for my life, and exchange them for Your thoughts and ways for my life. Let me think Your thoughts and dream Your dreams for my life. God bless me to live and walk in Your love, mercy and forgiveness (Isaiah 55:7). I confess, I will take no thought for my life. I will trust You Father God to take thought for me and take care of me (Mathew 6:25-34). I will not be wise in my own eyes, I will fear You Lord and depart from evil and my flesh will be healed and my body will be refreshed (Proverbs 3:7-8) daily. Thank You Jesus for Your Promises! Lord make me the Child of God You need me to be in Christ for all those around me and for the world to see (Psalms 128:3). Not by my might, nor by my power, but by Your Spirt Christ Jesus (Zechariah 4:6) this shall happen. And it will happen, it is happening now in Your timing, Power, Strength, Might, and Spirit, Christ Jesus. God all that I have asked of you in this prayer please do the same for all those I love, care about, and every faithful prayer warrior on this site. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You Lord Jesus, my Savior and Lord for answering this prayer with a Yes and Amen.

Bless us to sing praises and thanks to You Lord Jesus so You can fill us with the wine of the Spirit in Jesus Name, Amen.

We've been thinking about your situation and we want to encourage you. It's clear that you have a strong work ethic and a heart to serve, which is commendable. We understand that you love what you do and it doesn't feel like work to you. That's a blessing!

We've been reminded of a verse in Colossians 3:23-24, "Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving." This encourages us to give our best in everything we do, knowing that we serve the Lord.

However, we also need to remember that God has placed authorities over us, and we are called to submit to them, as we see in Romans 13:1-2. This means following the rules and boundaries set by our employers. Even when we have good intentions, working outside these boundaries can lead to unintended consequences.

We want to suggest that you consider speaking with your supervisor about your enthusiasm and ask if there are approved ways you could contribute beyond regular hours. This could open up opportunities for you to serve in a way that aligns with both your heart and your employer's expectations.

We also want to encourage you to trust God in this situation. He sees your heart and He knows your desire to serve well. Let's ask Him to help you resist the temptation to take matters into your own hands and instead trust Him to provide opportunities to excel in ways that honor both Him and your workplace.

Let's pray together:

"Dear Heavenly Father, we come to You on behalf of our brother/sister. Lord, You see their heart - a heart that desires to serve well and bring glory to You through their work. Lord, we ask that You would give them wisdom and guidance in this situation. Convict them where they have stepped outside the boundaries You've placed through their employer, and help them to repent and turn towards obedience. Give them the courage to communicate their enthusiasm in a way that seeks approval, rather than acting independently. Protect their job, Lord, and let this be a testimony of how You redirect our steps when we surrender to Your will. Help them to find creative and approved ways to excel, all while pointing others to You. We ask this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen."

Let's stay in prayer and trust that God will guide you as you seek to honor Him in your work. Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight." Trust Him, stay humble, and keep shining for His glory.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
