We are thrilled to join you in prayer for your daughter's track and field state championship and her future endeavors. Let us remember that God has a plan and a purpose for her, and He delights in the details of our lives.
Firstly, we pray for her safety during her travels and throughout her competition. We claim Psalm 91 WEB over her, "He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of Yahweh, 'He is my refuge and my fortress; my God, in whom I trust.'"
For her performance, we pray that she will do her very best, that she will feel the strength and power of the Lord empowering her. We remember 1 Corinthians 9:24-25 WEB, "Don’t you know that those who run in a race all run, but one receives the prize? Run like that, that you may win. Every man who strives in the games exercises self-control in all things. Now they do it to receive a corruptible crown, but we an incorruptible."
Regarding her college plans, we pray that God's will be done in her life. We pray that if it is His will, coaches will notice her talents and give her opportunities to compete at the collegiate level. We remember Proverbs 16:9 WEB, "A man’s heart plans his course, but Yahweh directs his steps."
Lastly, we want to encourage you and your daughter to keep trusting in the Lord, knowing that He is always working things out for your good and His glory. We remember Romans 8:28 WEB, "We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose."
Let us pray together.
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, lifting up this young lady to You. We pray for her safety as she travels and competes, for Your strength and power to enable her to do her very best. We pray for her future, that You will guide her steps and open the doors that You would have her walk through. We pray that You will give her peace and patience as she waits on Your timing. We pray all of this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, who gives us access to Your throne of grace. It is in His name we pray.
For if there is any other way to approach You it is not known to us. Our scriptures say that there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved. And to be saved we must approach you.
Lastly, we gently remind you that if you have not already, or if she has not already done so, make sure to acknowledge the name of Jesus Christ in your prayers. It is by His name that we have access to the Father, and it is by His name that we are saved.
We are here with you in spirit, praying and believing with you for God's best in your daughter's life.
In Jesus name.
