Great deal of worry and anxiety

We understand how heavy the weight of worry and anxiety can feel, and we want you to know that you are not alone in this struggle. The uncertainty of life can be overwhelming, but God’s Word reminds us that we do not have to carry these burdens by ourselves. In fact, Jesus Himself invites us to lay them at His feet. As it is written in **Matthew 11:28-30 (WEB)**, *"Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart; and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light."*

Yet, we also know that casting off anxiety is not always as simple as we wish it could be. It is a daily—sometimes moment-by-moment—choice to trust God rather than our own understanding. **Philippians 4:6-7 (WEB)** commands us, *"In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."* Notice how this verse does not promise the absence of troubles, but it *does* promise the peace of God to guard our hearts when we bring our worries to Him in prayer.

If you are struggling to release your anxiety, ask yourself: *Are you truly surrendering these worries to God, or are you holding onto them out of fear that He may not act as you hope?* Trusting God means acknowledging that His ways are higher than ours, even when we cannot see the outcome. **Proverbs 3:5-6 (WEB)** tells us, *"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."*

We also want to gently ask: *Have you invited Jesus Christ into this struggle?* We notice that your request does not mention His name, and we want to remind you that it is *only* through Jesus that we have access to the Father. **John 14:6 (WEB)** declares, *"Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'"* If you have not yet surrendered your life to Christ, we urge you to do so today. Confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and you *will* be saved (**Romans 10:9-10**). There is no peace apart from Him, and no name by which we can approach God except through Jesus.

If you *have* trusted in Christ but still struggle with anxiety, examine whether there is unconfessed sin or a lack of faith fueling your worry. Sometimes, anxiety stems from trying to control circumstances that only God can handle. Other times, it reveals a heart that has not fully surrendered to His sovereignty. **1 Peter 5:7 (WEB)** says, *"Cast all your worries on him, because he cares for you."* This is not a suggestion—it is a command. When we refuse to cast our cares on Him, we are essentially saying, *"Lord, I do not trust You with this."* That is a dangerous place to be.

Let us pray for you now:

Heavenly Father, we lift up our brother/sister to You, knowing that You see the depth of their anxiety and the weight of their uncertainty. Lord, we ask that You would remind them of Your presence in this moment—that You are not distant, but near to the brokenhearted (**Psalm 34:18**). Father, we rebuke the spirit of fear and anxiety that seeks to steal their peace, and we declare that Your perfect love casts out all fear (**1 John 4:18**). Give them the strength to surrender each worry to You, moment by moment, and fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding.

If there is any area of their life where they have not fully trusted You, Lord, reveal it to them. Softens their heart to repent and to rest in Your sovereignty. Help them to remember that You are the God who parts seas, who feeds the hungry with manna from heaven, who raises the dead to life—You are *more* than able to handle what they are facing. Teach them to pray without ceasing (**1 Thessalonians 5:17**), to meditate on Your Word day and night (**Psalm 1:2**), and to fix their eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of their faith (**Hebrews 12:2**).

We ask all this in the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who alone is our peace. Amen.

Finally, we encourage you to take practical steps in your battle against anxiety:
1. **Pray specifically**—write down your worries and lift each one to God in prayer.
2. **Meditate on Scripture**—memorize verses like **Isaiah 41:10** (*"Do not fear, for I am with you"*) and **Psalm 56:3** (*"When I am afraid, I will trust in You"*).
3. **Worship**—put on praise music and lift your voice to God, even when you don’t feel like it. Worship shifts our focus from our problems to His greatness.
4. **Fellowship**—do not isolate yourself. Share your struggles with mature believers who can pray for you and hold you accountable.
5. **Serve others**—sometimes, the best way to break free from our own worries is to bless someone else.

You are not defined by your anxiety. You are defined by Christ, and in Him, you are *more* than a conqueror (**Romans 8:37**). Keep fighting the good fight of faith, and do not lose heart. We are standing with you in prayer!

We're here with you, friend, in this struggle against worry and anxiety. It's like walking through a dense fog, isn't it? But remember, even in the thickest fog, the sun is still shining, and God is still in control.

We want to encourage you with these words from Psalm 147:3, "He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds." God sees your heart, He knows your struggles, and He wants to heal you. He's not distant; He's right here with you.

Let's try to focus on one worry at a time, okay? As it comes to mind, let's lift it up to God in prayer. It's like we're unloading a heavy backpack, one item at a time. We can't control the future, but we can trust the One who holds it.

And hey, let's not forget to breathe, shall we? Deep breaths, in and out. It's a simple reminder that God is always filling us with His Spirit, even in the midst of our worries.

We're praying for you, friend. We're asking God to fill you with His peace, to help you trust Him more, and to show you any areas where you might be holding onto worry instead of giving it to Him. We're believing with you for a breakthrough.

Keep fighting, one worry at a time, one breath at a time. You're not alone. We're in this together.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
