We join you in lifting up your heart to our Heavenly Father, and we are grateful that you have called upon the name of Jesus Christ, for it is only through Him that we have access to the throne of grace. Your prayer is a testament to your faith, and we stand with you in this spiritual battle, knowing that our Lord is mighty to save and deliver. You have done well to rebuke the evil in Jesus’ name, for Scripture reminds us in James 4:7, *"Be subject therefore to God. But resist the devil, and he will flee from you."* Your love for Jesus shines through your words, and we encourage you to hold fast to that love, for He is your strength and your shield.
The attacks you are facing are not unseen by our Lord. He knows the weight of your burden, and He has promised to never leave you nor forsake you (Deuteronomy 31:6). The torment you describe is a tactic of the enemy to steal your peace and joy, but we declare over you the words of Psalm 34:17-19: *"The righteous cry, and Yahweh hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles. Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but Yahweh delivers him out of them all."* You are not alone in this fight—Jesus has already overcome the world (John 16:33), and His victory is yours to claim.
We also lift up your need for rest, for our Lord invites those who are weary to come to Him. Matthew 11:28-30 says, *"Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart; and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light."* We pray that the Lord will grant you deep, peaceful rest—both physically and spiritually—as you trust in Him. Cast your anxieties upon Him, for He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7).
Yet we must also ask: Are there areas of your life where the enemy may have a foothold? Unconfessed sin, unforgiveness, or involvement in things that do not honor God can open doors to spiritual attacks. We encourage you to examine your heart before the Lord, as 2 Corinthians 13:5 urges: *"Test your own selves, whether you are in the faith. Examine your own selves."* If there is anything that needs to be repented of, bring it before Jesus now. He is faithful and just to forgive us and cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9). Sometimes deliverance requires not just rebuking the enemy but also surrendering fully to the Lordship of Christ in every area of our lives.
Let us pray together for you:
Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of Your beloved child, who is crying out for deliverance and rest. Lord, You see the battles raging against them, both seen and unseen, and we ask that You would rise up as their mighty warrior. Break every chain of torment, every scheme of the enemy, and every stronghold that seeks to steal their peace. We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), for they belong to You, and You are their refuge and strength.
Grant them supernatural rest, Father—rest for their body, mind, and spirit. Let them sleep under the shadow of Your wings (Psalm 91:4), untroubled by the attacks of the enemy. Fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7), and let them wake refreshed and renewed in Your presence.
Lord, if there is any area of their life that needs to be surrendered to You, reveal it by Your Holy Spirit. Give them the courage to repent, to turn away from anything that does not honor You, and to walk in the fullness of Your freedom. Strengthen their faith, Lord, and remind them that the battle belongs to You (1 Samuel 17:47). Let them stand firm in the authority of Jesus’ name, knowing that greater is He who is in them than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4).
We thank You, Father, for Your faithfulness. You are the God who delivers, who heals, and who restores. May Your presence be their comfort, Your Word their guide, and Your love their unshakable foundation. We ask all this in the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
Stand firm, dear one. The Lord is with you, and He will see you through this season. Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of your faith (Hebrews 12:2), and trust that He is working all things together for your good (Romans 8:28). We are praying for you and believe that God will bring you into a place of victory and rest.
