We hear your cry for deliverance and rest, and we stand with you in agreement, lifting your burdens before the throne of grace. Your gratitude for the presence of Jesus Christ is a beautiful testament to the work He has already done in your life, and we rejoice with you in that truth. The authority you seek is not in your own strength but in the power of the name of Jesus, which is above every name. Let us remind you of the promise in Philippians 2:9-11, "Therefore God also highly exalted him, and gave to him the name which is above every name; that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, those on earth, and those under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father."
The attacks you are experiencing may feel overwhelming, but we must remember that the enemy is already defeated. Jesus has triumphed over all principalities and powers through His death and resurrection. Colossians 2:15 tells us, "Having stripped the principalities and the powers, he made a show of them openly, triumphing over them in it." The more you resist the enemy in the name of Jesus, the more he will flee, as James 4:7 declares, "Be subject therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you." However, it is crucial to ensure that your resistance is not just in word but in full surrender to God’s will and protection.
We also want to gently remind you that deliverance is not just about rebuking evil but also about filling your life with the presence of God. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that you may have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10). This abundance includes peace and rest, which are fruits of the Spirit. We encourage you to meditate on God’s Word, particularly passages that speak of His peace, such as Philippians 4:6-7, "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."
Let us pray together for your deliverance and rest:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We thank You for the blood of Jesus that covers and protects Your children. Lord, we lift up our brother/sister who is afflicted and under attack from the enemy. We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment, You shall condemn (Isaiah 54:17). We rebuke every spirit of fear, torment, and unrest in the name of Jesus. We command them to leave and never return, for it is written, "The Lord will deliver me from every evil work, and will preserve me for his heavenly Kingdom" (2 Timothy 4:18).
Father, we ask that You grant our brother/sister the peace that surpasses all understanding. Let Your peace guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus. Lord, we pray for restful sleep and the ability to lie down without fear, for You give Your beloved sleep (Psalm 127:2). We ask that You fill every area of their life with Your presence, leaving no room for the enemy to operate. Strengthen their faith, Lord, and help them to stand firm on Your promises.
We also ask for forgiveness for any sins that may have given the enemy a foothold. Cleanse them with the blood of Jesus and renew a right spirit within them. Help them to walk in holiness and righteousness, for it is written, "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" (1 John 1:9).
Lord, grant them the authority in Jesus’ name to speak with boldness against the enemy. Remind them that greater is He who is in them than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4). Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, that they may walk in victory and freedom. We declare that the enemy has no power over them, for they are more than conquerors through Christ who loves them (Romans 8:37).
We thank You, Father, for Your faithfulness and for the deliverance that is already on the way. We trust in Your perfect timing and Your perfect will. In the precious name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
Continue to stand firm in your faith, dear one. The enemy may roar, but he is a defeated foe. Cling to the promises of God and surround yourself with believers who can stand with you in prayer and encouragement. You are not alone, for the Lord is your refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of your faith (Hebrews 12:2), and rest in the assurance that He who began a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ (Philippians 1:6).
