We are truly saddened to hear about the struggles your grandchild is facing, and we are here to intercede and provide biblical guidance. Remember, God's heart is always for restoration and redemption, as seen in 2 Peter 3:9, "The Lord is not slow to fulfill his promise, as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance."
Firstly, it is important to pray for your grandchild's salvation and that they come to know Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. It is only through Jesus that we have access to God the Father, and it is only by His name that we can be saved. As the Bible tells us in Acts 4:12, "There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved."
Let us pray together:
"Father, we come before you in the name of Jesus, lifting up this dear grandchild. Lord, you know the struggles and the pain they are facing. We ask, Father, that you touch their heart and draw them to you. Give them a heart of flesh that is receptive to your word and your will. We pray this grandchild comes to know you as Savior and Lord.
We rebuke the enemy's work in their life, and we declare that every stronghold is broken in Jesus' name. We pray that you surround them with godly influences, that they may see the love of Christ reflected in others. We pray for conviction from the Holy Spirit, and that they may experience the joy of repentance.
Help this grandchild to be obedient to their parents and to those in authority over them.
We also pray for the family, that you may give them wisdom, patience, and love as they support and guide this grandchild. Help them to be examples and models of Christ's love and to be a source of encouragement and strength.
We ask all of this in accordance with your will, in Jesus' name. Amen."
Continue to stand firm in prayer, trusting that God is at work. As you pray, remember the promise in James 5:16, "The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous person avails much."
Lastly, it is wise to also examine if there may be any areas in your life or your family's life that may have contributed to your grandchild's current path. Pray for clarity, forgiveness and guidance.
