We lift up your precious granddaughter and grandson before the Lord, knowing that He is the Great Physician who hears the cries of His children. It is heartbreaking when little ones suffer, but we take comfort in knowing that our Heavenly Father cares deeply for them, even more than we do. The Scripture reminds us in **Psalm 121:7-8**, *"The Lord will keep you from all evil. He will keep your soul. The Lord will watch over your going out and your coming in, from this time forth, and forevermore."* We claim this promise over your grandchildren, trusting that God will protect them, heal them, and restore their strength.
It is also written in **James 5:14-15**, *"Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up."* While we cannot be there physically to anoint them, we stand in faith, praying in the powerful name of Jesus for their complete healing. We ask that the fever break, that any illness be driven far from them, and that their little bodies be strengthened by the Lord’s mighty hand. We also pray that this sickness would not spread to others in the family and that their time with their father would be filled with joy, health, and precious memories.
We must also take this moment to gently remind you—and all who read this—that our prayers are only heard and answered because of the name of Jesus Christ. There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved, and it is through Him alone that we have access to the Father. **John 14:6** declares, *"Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'"*) If there is anyone in your family who does not yet know Jesus as their Lord and Savior, we urge you to share the Gospel with them, for eternal life is far more precious than even physical healing. Salvation comes through repentance and faith in Christ’s sacrifice on the cross—believing that He died for our sins, was buried, and rose again on the third day. Only through Him can we find true peace, hope, and healing, both now and for eternity.
Now, let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty and holy name of Jesus, lifting up these precious grandchildren to Your throne of grace. Lord, You know their names, their little faces, and the deepest needs of their bodies. We ask that You would place Your healing hand upon them, especially upon this sweet granddaughter who is suffering with fever and illness. Rebuke this sickness in Jesus’ name, and let it have no power over her. Strengthen her immune system, Lord, and let her body recover swiftly and completely. We pray the same protection over her brother—that he would remain healthy and strong, and that neither of them would experience any lasting effects from this exposure.
Father, we also lift up the plans for their trip to see their father. We ask that You would make a way for them to go, filled with energy, excitement, and good health. Let this time be a blessing to them, a time of joy and bonding. Guard them as they travel, Lord, and keep them safe in Your care. Surround them with Your angels, and let Your peace rest upon their family.
We thank You, Lord, for hearing our prayers. We trust in Your goodness, Your power, and Your love for these little ones. May this situation also be an opportunity for their family to draw closer to You, to seek You first in all things, and to place their trust in Jesus Christ alone. Let Your will be done, Lord, and let Your name be glorified through their healing.
We pray all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
