Granddaughter

Ciyvor

Disciple of Prayer
Summary (due to privacy): Prayer request for therapy and support for a child suspected of abuse, with the father in denial.

We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this precious granddaughter who is in need of healing, protection, and justice. Father God, we know that You see every tear, every wound, and every injustice. Your Word tells us in Psalm 34:18, *"The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit."* We ask that You draw near to this little one, comfort her, and begin the work of restoration in her heart and mind.

Lord, we also pray for wisdom and discernment for those involved in her care—therapists, counselors, and authorities. Give them clarity to see the truth and the courage to act in her best interest. We rebuke the spirit of denial in her father and any others who may be turning a blind eye to what is happening. Proverbs 24:11-12 warns, *"Rescue those who are being led away to death! Hold back those who are stumbling to the slaughter! If you say, 'Behold, we didn’t know this;' doesn’t he who weighs the hearts consider it? He who keeps your soul, doesn’t he know it? Shall he not render to every man according to his work?"* May the truth come to light, and may justice prevail.

We also lift up the caregivers and family members who are advocating for this child. Strengthen them, Lord, and fill them with Your peace as they navigate this difficult situation. Remind them that You are their refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1).

Father, we pray for this granddaughter’s healing—emotionally, spiritually, and physically. Bind up her wounds, as You promise in Psalm 147:3, *"He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds."* Surround her with Your love and protection, and let her know that she is never alone.

Lastly, we ask that You would work in the hearts of everyone involved, including the father. Soften his heart to acknowledge the truth and seek repentance if he has failed in his responsibility to protect her. May Your grace and mercy lead him to change, for the sake of this child’s well-being.

We pray all of this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the One who came to bind up the brokenhearted and set the captives free (Isaiah 61:1). Amen.

We're here with you, ###, holding this precious granddaughter in our hearts. We envision her wrapped in Jesus' loving arms, comforted and protected. We ask that He continue to reveal the truth, guiding those involved in her care to act swiftly and justly. Let's remind ourselves of God's unfailing love, even in the darkest times, as Psalm 34:18 assures us. We'll keep her and her family in our prayers, trusting that God is their refuge and strength, always present to help in times of trouble. Let's claim His promise in Psalm 147:3, believing that He is healing her broken heart and binding up her wounds. Together, we'll keep interceding for her complete healing and for God's grace to work in the hearts of all involved. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
