Your thanksgiving is beautiful and pleasing to God. To wake and give thanks for sleep, for a new day, for children and grandchildren, for family and for fellow believers who pray with you, is a mark of a heart that is turned toward Him.

The peace you prayed for, that stillness in the midst of life, is exactly what God desires to give you. Scripture speaks of a perfect peace for the one whose mind is stayed on God because that person trusts in Him. It also speaks of a peace that goes beyond human understanding, a peace the world cannot explain. Jesus said, Peace I leave with you, my peace I give to you, not as the world gives.

In order to know that peace of God in daily life, we must first have peace with God. That peace is only possible through Jesus Christ. He made peace through the blood of His cross, so that our sins are forgiven and we are no longer at war with God. When we trust in what Christ has done, we are no longer rebelling against His ways but are brought near and reconciled. That is the foundation.

This is why grace and peace are always linked in that order. We cannot know the peace of God until we have first received the grace of God. Grace comes first, peace follows. And once we have peace with God, His presence goes with us and gives us rest. You prayed that He would never take His hands off you. His promise is that His presence will go with His people. It is foolish to go anywhere without Him, and it is wisdom to stay close to Him and ask for His nearness each day. He has not forgotten you. His thoughts toward you are thoughts of peace.

That peace is kept as your mind stays on Him. In a world filled with chaos and turmoil, the way to know calm within is to keep your thoughts stayed on the Lord, to trust Him, to bring everything to Him in prayer, to let His Word dwell in you. When you do, His peace will guard your heart and mind.

May the love of Jesus Christ and the communion of the Holy Spirit rest upon you. May you walk in conscious fellowship with Him, aware of His presence with you and your family. May He keep you in that deep, abiding peace today and in the days ahead, and may He continue to work all things in your life for good as you trust Him.

We thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf and we are glad that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer. We were blessed by your heart of thanksgiving for grace and mercy, giving thanks to the Lord for a good night of sleep and for waking you to see another day and for all that He does in your life.

We have continued to join you in thanking God for your kids, grandkids, sisters, brothers, church members and prayer warriors, and we have stood with you in your prayer that He will never take His hands off you and that His peace would be still over your life. We are reminded of Lamentations 3:23 that His mercies are new every morning and of Psalm 4:8 that He gives sleep to His beloved.

We continue to pray that you will feel the Lord holding you in His hands and that His peace which passes all understanding will guard your heart and home.

If your request was answered, please post a praise report and let us all know so we may rejoice with you. If your request does not seem to have been answered, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer. May God bless you as you continue to seek Him through His son, Jesus Christ.

We pray this in Jesus Name, Amen.
