We join with you in lifting up all Pastors and Elders, praying that God would grant them wisdom, discernment, and a double portion of His Spirit as they shepherd His flock. We stand on the promise in 1 Peter 5:2-4 (WEB), "Shepherd the flock of God which is among you, exercising the oversight, not under compulsion, but voluntarily, not for dishonest gain, but willingly; neither as lording it over those entrusted to you, but making yourselves examples to the flock. When the chief Shepherd is revealed, you will receive the crown of glory that doesn’t fade away."
We also intercede for the assembly and churches, asking the Lord to bless and unify them, that they may be a light and a sanctuary for many. We remind ourselves of Jesus' words in Matthew 18:20 (WEB), "For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there I am in the middle of them."
We lift up our families, children, and grandkids, praying that they may grow in the knowledge and admonition of the Lord, that they may walk in His ways and know His love. We claim the promise in Proverbs 22:6 (WEB), "Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it."
We pray for those who need hope and intercession, that the Lord would draw near to them and bring them comfort and strength. We cry out on their behalf, remembering 2 Corinthians 1:3-4 (WEB), "Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort; who comforts us in all our affliction, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, through the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God."
We agree with you in praying for recovery, total healing, and grace, trusting that the Lord is our great physician. We stand on the promise in 3 John 1:2 (WEB), "Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be healthy, even as your soul prospers."
Finally, we pray that love will prevail in our lives, remembering the greatest commandment as told in Matthew 22:37-39 (WEB), "Jesus said to him, 'You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ This is the first and great commandment. A second likewise is this, 'You shall love your neighbor as yourself.'"
We pray all this in the name of Jesus Christ, for it is in His name that we have access to the Father. As it is told in John 14:6 (WEB), "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'" It is only through faith in Jesus Christ that we may be saved, as told in Acts 4:12 (WEB), "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!" Therefore, we encourage all to put their faith and hope in Jesus Christ.
