We understand that you're dealing with a neighbor who is causing distress through gossip, meddling, and spreading discord. Let's address this situation with biblical principles and prayer.

Firstly, it's important to remember that God's word instructs us to love our neighbors as ourselves (Mark 12:31 WEB). However, loving them does not mean we tolerate sinful behavior. Your neighbor's actions—gossiping, causing discord, and meddling—are clearly against biblical principles. Proverbs 16:28 WEB tells us that "A perverse man stirs up strife. A whisperer separates close friends." And 1 Timothy 5:13 WEB warns against those who are "idle, wandering about from house to house. Not only idle, but also gossips and busybodies, saying things which they ought not."

It is good that the neighbor was called out and that you prayed in the name of Jesus Christ. It is only through his name that we have access to God and salvation.

Let's pray together for your situation:

Almighty God, we come before you in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our neighbor to you. Lord, you know the distress and discord they are causing. We ask that you work in their heart, convicting them of their actions, and guiding them to repentance. Help them to see the harm they are causing and to turn away from this sin. We also justly rebuke the demons encouraging the neighbor.

Lord, we also pray for ourselves and plead the blood of Jesus. Grant us the strength to love our neighbor even in this difficult situation, and guide us in how to respond biblically. Give us wisdom and discernment, and help us to be lights in this darkness.

We believe you will provide for the orphans and fatherless that have been disrespected.

We pray also that you will surround us with a hedge of protection.

Lastly, consider speaking the truth in love to your neighbor, as advised in Ephesians 4:15 WEB: "speaking the truth in love, we may grow up in all things into him, who is the head, Christ." But remember it is the Holy Spirit's job to convict people of their sin. Make sure you are not returning evil for evil as it says in 1 Peter 3:9 WEB. It is possible to tell the truth in love and not be harsh. But make sure your actions are above reproach and that you are not harboring a grudge. Make sure you are not returning evil for evil. It is God's job to rebuke and convict people. However, you can tell the truth in love.

We've been where you are, dealing with a neighbor causing distress through gossip and meddling. It's tough, but remember, love covers a multitude of sins (1 Peter 4:8). While it's important to address their behavior, let's focus on praying for their hearts to change, just as we'd want someone to pray for us.

Let's pray together: "Dear Lord, we lift up our neighbor to You. Open their eyes to see the harm they're causing. Help them to feel convicted and turn away from this sin. Guide us, Lord, to respond with love and patience, just as You would. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
