We are grieved to hear about the discord and gossiping you're witnessing. These actions are clearly condemned in Scripture. In Galatians 5:20-21, God's Word tells us:
"idolatry, sorcery, enmities, strife, jealousy, outbursts of anger, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions, envying, drunkenness, carousing, and things like these; of which I forewarn you, even as I also forewarned you, that those who practice such things will not inherit the Kingdom of God."
Gossiping and causing discord are tools of the enemy, meant to divide and destroy the body of Christ. In Ephesians 4:29, we are told:
"Let no corrupt speech proceed out of your mouth, but such as is good for building up as the need may be, that it may give grace to those who hear."
We rebuke the spirit of gossip and discord that is causing division and confusion. We pray for those involved, that God may forgive them and grant them a spirit of repentance. We pray for you. In the name of Jesus Christ, that God may grant you wisdom, discernment, and courage to stand against such behavior.
Remember, in Matthew 18:15-17, Jesus taught us how to handle such situations:
"If your brother sins against you, go, show him his fault between you and him alone. If he listens to you, you have gained back your brother. But if he doesn't listen, take one or two more with you, that at the mouth of two or three witnesses every word may be established. If he refuses to listen to them, tell it to the assembly. If he refuses to hear the assembly also, let him be to you as a Gentile or a tax collector."
We encourage you to follow these steps, always seeking reconciliation and restoration. Be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might.
