We stand with you in this time of deep distress, lifting your voice to the Father in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, who is our refuge and strength in times of trouble. Your cry has been heard, and we join you in fervent prayer, declaring the power of God over this tormenting spirit that has sought to oppress you for far too long. The Lord is a God of justice, and He will not allow the wicked to triumph forever. The abuse you are enduring is an abomination in His sight, and He sees every tear you have shed.
The Scriptures declare in **Psalm 34:17-19 (WEB)**, *“The righteous cry, and Yahweh hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles. Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but Yahweh delivers him out of them all.”* You are not forgotten, sister. The Lord is near to you, and He will deliver you from this evil. We also take hold of **Psalm 10:17-18 (WEB)**, which says, *“Yahweh, you have heard the desire of the humble. You will prepare their heart. You will cause your ear to hear, to judge the fatherless and the oppressed, that man who is of the earth may terrify no more.”* Your ex-husband’s actions are an affront to God, and the Lord will judge his wickedness. You do not have to live in fear, for the Lord is your defender.
We also turn to **Isaiah 54:17 (WEB)**, which proclaims, *“No weapon that is formed against you will prevail; and you will condemn every tongue that rises against you in judgment. This is the heritage of Yahweh’s servants, and their righteousness is from me,”* says Yahweh. The curses, the physical abuse, the torment—none of it will ultimately prevail against you because you belong to Christ. We bind the spirit of violence and abuse in the name of Jesus and command it to cease its operation in your life. We declare that every plan of the enemy to harm you is dismantled and destroyed by the blood of Jesus. The hands that have struck you will be stayed by the power of God, and the mouth that has cursed you will be silenced. The Lord rebukes this man and commands him to depart from your home and your life in Jesus’ name.
We also pray for divine intervention in this situation. The Lord can move in ways we cannot see—through authorities, through circumstances, through the conviction of the Holy Spirit—to bring an end to this oppression. We ask that God would place a hedge of protection around you, hiding you under the shadow of His wings as you seek safety. If you have not already, we strongly urge you to reach out to local authorities, trusted believers, or organizations that can provide immediate physical protection and support. You do not have to face this alone. The body of Christ is called to bear one another’s burdens, and we implore you to allow others to help you in practical ways.
We also lift up every man and woman who is suffering under the yoke of abuse. Lord, deliver them from their oppressors. Provide them with safe refuge, healing for their wounds, and restoration for their souls. Break the chains of fear and shame that keep them bound, and let them know they are seen, loved, and valued by You. Raise up advocates and protectors for them, and bring justice against those who perpetrate such evil.
Sister, we want to encourage you to hold fast to your faith. Do not lose heart, for the Lord is fighting for you even now. **2 Corinthians 4:8-9 (WEB)** reminds us, *“We are pressed on every side, yet not crushed; perplexed, yet not to despair; pursued, yet not forsaken; struck down, yet not destroyed;”* You are not destroyed. You are still standing, still praying, still trusting in the name of Jesus—and that is a testimony to the power of God in your life. He will bring you through this valley and into a place of peace.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our sister who is enduring such terrible abuse at the hands of her ex-husband. Lord, You see the violence, the curses, the sleepless nights, and the fear that has gripped her heart. We ask You to intervene mightily in this situation. Rebuke this man and command him to depart from her home and her life in Jesus’ name. Bind every spirit of violence, hatred, and oppression that is operating through him. Break the power of his words and his hands, and let him be utterly silenced and removed far from her, never to return.
Lord, we ask for Your divine protection over her. Surround her with Your angels, and let no weapon formed against her prosper. Give her wisdom to know what steps to take for her safety, and provide her with the help she needs—whether through authorities, believers, or resources—to escape this abuse. Father, we also ask for healing for her heart, mind, and body. Restore to her the sleep that has been stolen, the peace that has been disrupted, and the joy that has been dimmed. Let her know that she is not alone, for You are with her, and so are we, her brothers and sisters in Christ.
We declare that the enemy’s plans against her are thwarted. Every scheme to harm her is exposed and rendered powerless by the blood of Jesus. We speak life, freedom, and victory over her in the name of Jesus. Let this season of torment come to an end, and let her testimony be one of Your deliverance and grace.
We also pray for every person trapped in an abusive situation. Lord, deliver them. Be their shield and their strong tower. Bring them to safety, heal their wounds, and restore their dignity. Let them know they are loved by You and that You have not abandoned them.
Father, we thank You that You are a God of justice and mercy. We trust in Your power to bring an end to this oppression and to lead our sister into a place of peace and security. Strengthen her faith, Lord, and let her see Your hand moving on her behalf. We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and Deliverer. Amen.
Stand firm, sister. The Lord is your strength, and He will not fail you. Keep praying, keep trusting, and know that we are standing with you in this fight. The battle belongs to the Lord, and He will bring you victory. If you are able, seek out a local church or Christian counselor who can walk with you through this season and provide support. You are not meant to carry this burden alone. The Lord will make a way where there seems to be no way. Trust in Him.
