Good morning Father. I thank You for this day.
Lord, 17 years ago, you sent a wonderful friend into my life. Just when I need one. I watched as she selflessly gave of herself to me,  her children and others. I watched her kindness towards those who were suffering.(I was going through a divorce.) ) I watched her tirelessly tend to those around her who were sick, never expecting anything in return. I watched her share what little food she had with others. She's just a good hearted person, with a kind and loving soul. She has been like a mom to me throughout these years.
Father, my heart is now breaking, as she has been diagnosed with breast cancer. She just came home from having an operation.
Father I beg of you to heal her. Please rid her body of this terrible affliction. She certainly does not deserve this.
In Jesus name. Amen

"O Father of mercies and God of all comfort, our only help in time of need:
We humbly beseech thee to behold, visit, and relieve thy sick servant Jean for whom our prayers are desired.
Look upon her with the eyes of thy mercy; comfort her with a sense of thy goodness;
preserve her from the temptations of the enemy;
and give her patience under her affliction. (breast cancer)
In thy good time, restore her to perfect health,
and enable her to lead the residue of her life in thy peace,
and to thy glory;
and grant that finally she may dwell with thee in life everlasting;
through Jesus Christ our Lord."
