We come before the throne of grace with hearts full of faith, lifting up this request for healing and protection. First, we must address the foundation of our prayers—it is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father. Jesus Himself declared, *"Most certainly I tell you, whatever you may ask of the Father in my name, he will give it to you"* (John 16:23 WEB). There is no other name by which we can be saved or through which our prayers are heard (Acts 4:12). If you have not yet surrendered your life to Jesus, we encourage you to confess your sins, believe in His death and resurrection, and invite Him to be your Lord and Savior. This is the first step to experiencing the fullness of God’s healing and grace.
Now, we stand in agreement for healing from this genetic disorder and protection from blindness. The Word of God assures us that *"by His stripes, we are healed"* (Isaiah 53:5 WEB), and that Jesus came to give us life abundantly (John 10:10). We rebuke every assignment of the enemy against this body, for it is written, *"No weapon that is formed against you will prevail"* (Isaiah 54:17 WEB). We declare that the same God who formed you in your mother’s womb (Psalm 139:13) is able to restore and renew what has been affected by this disorder.
Father, we ask You to touch every cell, every gene, and every part of this body that is not functioning as You designed. We speak life where there has been weakness, clarity where there has been impairment, and strength where there has been frailty. Your Word says that You *"heal all our diseases"* (Psalm 103:3 WEB), and we hold fast to that promise. We also pray for wisdom for the medical professionals involved in this care, that You would guide their hands and minds as they seek to bring healing.
Lord, we ask for Your protection over this person’s eyesight. Your Word says that *"the eyes are the lamp of the body"* (Matthew 6:22 WEB), and we ask that You would guard this lamp from darkness. We declare that no spirit of blindness or infirmity will prevail, for *"the Spirit of the Lord is upon us, because He has anointed us to preach good news to the poor; He has sent us to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim release to the captives, recovering of sight to the blind"* (Luke 4:18 WEB).
We also encourage you to stand on God’s promises in faith, knowing that *"faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen"* (Hebrews 11:1 WEB). Continue to seek the Lord in prayer and in His Word, for *"faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God"* (Romans 10:17 WEB). Surround yourself with believers who can pray with you and encourage you in this journey.
Heavenly Father, we thank You for Your faithfulness and for the healing power that is at work even now. We trust in Your timing and Your perfect will, knowing that You work all things together for good for those who love You (Romans 8:28). We declare that this genetic disorder will not define this life, but rather, Your glory will be revealed through it. In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
