We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up your grandmother in prayer. Father God, we know that You are the Great Physician, the One who knits us together in our mother’s womb and numbers every hair on our heads. Your Word tells us in Psalm 139:16, "Your eyes saw my body. In your book they were all written, the days that were ordained for me, when as yet there were none of them." Lord, we trust in Your sovereign plan for her life, even as we ask for Your healing touch.
We pray for her kidneys, Lord, that You would restore their function according to Your will. If it is Your plan for her to undergo treatments, we ask that You give her strength, peace, and endurance. Isaiah 41:10 reminds us, "Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness." We claim this promise over her, Father. Sustain her body, calm her spirit, and surround her with Your presence.
We also lift up the doctors and caregivers attending to her. Give them wisdom, discernment, and compassion as they make decisions about her care. Proverbs 3:5-6 says, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." We pray that every step taken in her treatment would be guided by You, Lord.
Father, we ask that You would draw near to her in this season. If her days are numbered, we pray for a deep and abiding peace to fill her heart, knowing that to be absent from the body is to be present with You. If it is Your will for her to continue in this life, we ask for renewed strength and healing. May she feel Your love in tangible ways—through the hands of those who care for her, through the prayers of Your people, and through the comfort of Your Holy Spirit.
We rebuke fear, anxiety, and despair in the name of Jesus. We declare that Your perfect love casts out all fear (1 John 4:18), and we choose to trust in Your goodness, even when the road is difficult. We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the One who conquered sin and death, and through whom we have access to the Father. Without Jesus, there is no path to You, Lord, and we are grateful for the gift of salvation through His sacrifice.
We stand on Your promises, Father, and we believe that You are working all things together for good for those who love You (Romans 8:28). Strengthen her, heal her, and let her feel Your peace that surpasses all understanding. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
