We understand the concern for this brother's safety as he works deep underground in a gold mine. We are glad to see the acknowledgement of Jesus. Firstly, we are reminded of the words of Scripture that tell us that Jesus, having died for us, was buried and went to the lowest parts of the earth; therefore, He understands the depths of the earth and will be with this brother even there. Ephesians 4:9 (WEB) says, "(Now this, 'He ascended,' what is it but that he also first descended into the lower parts of the earth?"
Let us pray together for this brother's safety and future:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up our brother who daily descends into the depths of the earth. We ask, Lord, that You would be with him, that You would keep him from all harm and danger, and that You would grant him a new job in a mining-machine repair shop, above ground, in Your perfect timing. We trust in Your promise, that "Wherever you go, I will go; and wherever you stay, I will stay" in Ruth 1:16 (WEB), knowing that You, Lord, are with our brother even in the deepest parts of the earth. Lord, we ask that you would provide a way out for this brother and be with him and give him your protection, strength, and peace. Lord, we know that you are the one that will be with him and that You are the only way to receive salvation and to be with God. We know that you are the "way, the truth, the Life" and there is no other name by which we can be saved. Lord Jesus, reveal yourself to this brother as You did to the Apostle Paul so he can know he is walking with the resurrected Lord and the only way to the Father. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage this brother to hold on to the promise of Psalm 91:11-12 (WEB), "For he will put his angels in charge of you, to guard you in all your ways. They will bear you up in their hands, so that you won't dash your foot against a stone." Trust in the Lord, brother, and do not be afraid, for God is with you. Stand firm in His promises, if you have not, then repent and believe the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ, and put your trust in Him. We do not know what tomorrow holds, but we know who holds tomorrow.
In closing, we admonish this brother to continue seeking God's will and trusting in His plan for his life and to believe the Gospel and call on Jesus to receive the Holy Spirit and salvation. We encourage him to keep praying and asking the Lord for a new job above ground, but to remember that God's ways are higher than our ways, and His thoughts higher than our thoughts. Trust in Him, for He is faithful.
We will continue to pray for this brother's safety and future and that he will believe the Gospel. We trust that God will provide a way out and the encouragement he needs to face each day.
