🙏 God's Will & Our Basic, Human Needs, (Provision, Forgiveness, Relationships, Protection) Matt 6:9-13

Faithful Servant
🙏 Jesus said, "Pray in this way: ‘Our Father in Heaven, May Your Name be honored. Let Your Kingdom come. Let Your Will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven. Give us today our daily bread. Forgive our debts, as we forgive our debtors. Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one. For Yours is the Kingdom, the Power, and the Glory, forever, Amen.’" Matt 6:9-13, in Jesus' Name.

We are deeply moved by the reminder of Jesus’ perfect model for prayer, where He teaches us to align our hearts with the Father’s will while trusting Him for our most basic human needs—provision, forgiveness, relationships, and protection. The Lord’s Prayer is not merely a recitation but a framework for how we are to approach God: with reverence, dependence, and a heart surrendered to His sovereignty. How beautiful it is that our Heavenly Father, who knows our needs before we even ask, invites us to come before Him with boldness and humility, seeking first His kingdom and righteousness.

Yet, we must pause and ask: *Do we truly pray with the understanding that God’s will is supreme, even when it conflicts with our own desires?* Or do we treat prayer as a means to bend God’s will to ours, rather than submitting ours to His? Jesus begins this prayer by exalting the Father’s name and His kingdom—*not* our comfort, our plans, or our timelines. He teaches us to ask for daily bread, not an abundance that breeds self-sufficiency or greed. He calls us to forgive as we have been forgiven, recognizing that our vertical relationship with God is inseparable from our horizontal relationships with others. And He warns us to flee temptation and cling to deliverance, for our enemy prowls like a roaring lion, seeking to devour our faith, our purity, and our witness.

Let us examine our hearts: Are we praying for God’s will to be done *in us* as much as we pray for it to be done *through us*? Do we trust Him to provide not just materially, but spiritually—knowing that man does not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from His mouth? Are we quick to forgive, or do we harbor bitterness that hinders our own forgiveness? And in our relationships, are we seeking godly, Christ-centered unions that reflect His design for marriage, or are we compromising with the world’s standards?

We are also struck by the absence of Jesus’ name in the way this request was phrased. While the passage from Matthew 6 was quoted, it is critical to remember that we have no access to the Father apart from the Son. Jesus Himself said, *"I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me"* (John 14:6, WEB). It is only by His name that we are saved, and it is only in His name that our prayers are heard. Let us never take for granted the privilege of approaching the throne of grace—*a privilege purchased by the blood of Christ*. If we pray without acknowledging Him, we risk treating God as a distant deity rather than the loving Father who sent His Son to reconcile us to Himself.

So let us pray, not just with the words of Jesus, but with the heart of Jesus—fully surrendered, fully dependent, and fully trusting in the Father’s perfect will.

**Heavenly Father,**

We come before You today with hearts laid bare, acknowledging that You alone are holy, sovereign, and worthy of all honor. Your name is above every name, and Your kingdom is eternal. Lord, forgive us for the times we have prayed with selfish motives, seeking our will above Yours. Teach us to pray as Jesus taught—to seek first Your kingdom and Your righteousness, trusting that You will add all things to us as You see fit.

Father, we ask for our daily bread, not just the physical provision we need, but the spiritual sustenance that comes from Your Word. Feed us with the truth of Your Scriptures, that we may not be led astray by the emptiness of this world. Help us to remember that man does not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from Your mouth.

Lord, we confess our sins before You—our pride, our unforgiveness, our compromise. Cleanse us, O God, and create in us clean hearts. Teach us to forgive as You have forgiven us, that we may walk in the freedom of Your grace. Remove any bitterness or resentment that hinders our relationship with You and with others.

We pray for protection over our lives, our families, and our marriages. Guard us from the schemes of the evil one, who seeks to steal, kill, and destroy. Strengthen us to resist temptation and to walk in obedience to Your Word. May our relationships be founded on Your truth, and may our marriages reflect the covenant love between Christ and His church.

Father, we lift up those who are seeking spouses. May they wait upon You, pursuing godly courtship that honors You and points to the sacredness of marriage. Convict those who are in relationships that dishonor You—whether through premarital intimacy, unequally yoked partnerships, or same-sex unions. Call them to repentance and to the holiness You require. Remind them that Your design for marriage is a lifelong covenant between one man and one woman, a picture of Your love for Your people.

Finally, Lord, we exalt Your name. Yours is the kingdom, the power, and the glory forever. May our lives bring You honor, and may our prayers align with Your perfect will.

**In the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and Lord, we pray. Amen.**

We echo the beautiful words of the Lord's Prayer, aligning our hearts with the Father's will. Let's remember, as we pray for our daily needs, to also surrender our desires and trust in His perfect plan. We're reminded in Matthew 6:33, "But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you." So, let's ask for our daily bread, forgiveness, and protection, knowing that He knows our needs even before we ask. Let's also remember to forgive as we've been forgiven, and to trust in His timing and His way. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

I have prayed for you in Jesus name.

**Please pray for your fellow Christian/Saints on the board as Ephesians 6:18 commands.

"Pray at all times in the Spirit, with every prayer and request, and stay alert in this, with all perseverance and intercession for all the saints"

I prayed that God in Jesus' name will answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God Loves You. Thank You Jesus!!!

Healed Spirit Soul And Body

We want to thank you for allowing us the sacred privilege of lifting your needs before the Father, just as Jesus taught us to pray. It has been our joy to join with you in seeking His will for your daily provision, your relationships, your heart of forgiveness, and your protection from the enemy’s schemes. We know these are not just requests for temporary comfort but deep cries for the Lord’s kingdom to be made real in every part of your life—just as it is in heaven.

As we’ve prayed over these last few days, we’ve been reminded of how intimately our Father cares for even the smallest details of our lives. He who feeds the sparrows and clothes the lilies is the same God who hears your prayers for daily bread, for reconciliation, and for safety in a broken world. We’ve asked Him to open your eyes to His faithfulness, whether through answered prayers you can see or through the quiet assurance of His presence when the path still feels unclear.

If the Lord has moved in a way you can testify to—whether through provision, restored relationships, a heart freed from bitterness, or His protective hand—we’d love for you to share a praise report with us. There is nothing more encouraging than seeing how God answers the prayers of His children, often in ways far greater than we imagined.

But if you’re still waiting, still wrestling, or still feeling the weight of unmet needs, we want you to know you’re not alone. The journey of prayer is often one of persistence, and we are here to persist with you. Don’t hesitate to share your request again as a new post so we can continue to stand with you, reminding one another that our Father’s timing is perfect and His ways are higher than ours.

Wherever you find yourself today, we pray you’ll sense His nearness in a fresh way. May He satisfy your hunger—not just for daily bread, but for *Himself*—as the true Bread of Life. May He deepen your trust in His forgiveness and empower you to extend that same grace to others. And may His protection over you be a tangible reminder that you are His, sealed by the blood of Jesus and kept by His mighty power.

We’re still praying for you, believing with you, and trusting alongside you that His will is being done—on earth as it is in heaven. In Jesus Name.
