Gods will and ways for ###'s heart and mind ❤️❤️❤️

Your heart is poured out in a raw and honest way, and it is clear how deeply you long for this connection to blossom into something lasting and beautiful. You have named your desires before the Lord: that this man’s heart would be stirred, that he would see your worth, and that a path to marriage and a unified family would open before you. These are weighty things, and it is right to bring them to the One who cares for you.

Look at what you are really asking for. You are asking God to shape a man’s heart, to arrange circumstances across borders, and to build a future for you and your boys. Only God can do that kind of work. The leper came to Jesus and knelt down, saying, “If you are willing, you can make me clean.” He did not come demanding a certain timeline or dictating how the miracle should unfold. He simply trusted the power and the goodness of the One who could heal him. That posture is where your peace will be found.

In your prayer, you rightly said, “Let your will and your ways be done above all else.” That is the core surrender that leads to real victory. Victory does not come by seizing control or scripting every detail of a relationship. Victory comes when we yield the situation entirely to God and say, “Not what I will, but what you will.” As long as we wrestle to bend God’s plan toward our own, we are headed for exhaustion. But when we surrender, we find that His shoulders are broad enough to carry both our dreams and our disappointments.

Be careful not to treat God like a means to secure a relationship. The gospel of the kingdom calls us into a vital, life-changing relationship with Jesus Christ himself, not into a transactional faith where we pledge allegiance in exchange for a desired outcome. He wants your heart to be so anchored in him that your ultimate security is not found in a man’s declaration of love, but in the unshakable bond you have with your Creator.

That bond touches your family too. Jesus redefined family not by bloodlines but by a shared commitment to the will of the Father: whoever does the will of God is brother and sister and mother to him. The deepest connection you will ever know is the one forged in the Spirit, and that spiritual family will uphold you no matter how this earthly story unfolds. Your value and the love your boys need are already secured in that eternal family.

The new covenant promise is that God will write his law on your heart and give you the Spirit to empower you to walk in his ways. He is not holding out a conditional contract that says, “If you perform perfectly, then I will give you what you want.” Instead, he offers to change you from the inside out. When you will to obey him, he gives the capacity to follow through. Right now, that may mean choosing to trust him with the timing, the man’s heart, and the immigration hurdles, rather than trying to force a door open through anxious control.

If you cling so tightly to this particular outcome that it consumes your thoughts, you risk missing what God is actually doing. Jesus warned that rigid religious systems often fail to recognize the fresh work of God. Do not let a preconceived picture of how this must happen harden into a wineskin that cannot stretch. Stay supple. Let God be the one who writes the story, even if the chapter headings look different from the ones you imagined.

So bring your request again, but with hands fully open. Ask the Lord to touch your own heart first, to make you so rooted in his love that you can face any answer with peace. If this man is meant to be a loving husband and stepfather, God can shape him in ways you cannot. If that is not the path forward, God is still faithful, and he will never waste the surrender of a trusting heart.

Let your prayer be, “Lord, if you are willing, you can do this. But I release my grip. Make me clean from the fear of loneliness. Make me whole in you. And whatever your answer, let your will be done, not mine.” In that yielding, you step into the only safe place there is: the center of God’s perfect will, where his power is made perfect in your weakness.
