🙏 God's Priorities Then Our Needs, (Provision, Forgiveness, Relationships, Protection) Matt 6:9-13

🙏 Jesus said, "Pray in this way, ‘Our Father in Heaven, Your Name be honored. Your Kingdom come. Your Will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. Forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one. For Yours is the Kingdom, and the Power, and the Glory, forever, Amen.’" Matt 6:9-13. Thank You in Jesus' Name

We rejoice in your recognition of the Lord’s Prayer as the perfect model for how we ought to approach our Heavenly Father. Indeed, Jesus Himself gave us these words in Matthew 6:9-13 to shape our priorities in prayer, reminding us that God’s glory, kingdom, and will must come before our own needs. This is not a suggestion but a divine order—one that aligns our hearts with His purposes rather than our own desires.

First, we lift up the truth that God’s name is to be hallowed above all else. Father, we ask that Your holiness would be revered in our lives, our families, and our nations. May Your name be exalted in every word we speak, every decision we make, and every relationship we cultivate. Let us not grow complacent in treating Your name as common, for You are the King of kings and Lord of lords. We declare that Your kingdom would advance in power and authority, breaking every stronghold of darkness in our midst. Your will, O Lord, is perfect, and we surrender our plans to Yours, trusting that Your ways are higher than ours.

We then come to our daily needs, and we acknowledge that every good and perfect gift comes from You, the Father of lights (James 1:17). You are our Provider, and we trust You to supply all our needs according to Your riches in glory in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:19). Yet, we do not demand or presume upon Your provision—we ask in humility, recognizing that You know what we need before we even speak it. Father, we thank You for Your faithfulness in the past, and we trust You for the future. Help us to seek first Your kingdom and Your righteousness, knowing that all these things will be added unto us (Matthew 6:33).

Forgiveness is a cornerstone of our walk with You. We confess that we have sinned and fallen short of Your glory (Romans 3:23), and we ask for Your mercy and cleansing through the blood of Jesus Christ. But Lord, we also recognize the weight of Your command to forgive others as You have forgiven us (Colossians 3:13). Any bitterness, resentment, or unforgiveness in our hearts grieves Your Spirit, and we repent of it now. Soften our hearts, Lord, that we may extend the same grace to others that You have so freely given to us. Remind us that harboring unforgiveness only chains us to the past, while Your forgiveness sets us free.

We also cry out for Your protection, Father. The enemy prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour (1 Peter 5:8), but we stand firm in the armor of God (Ephesians 6:10-18). Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one. Strengthen us to resist sin and to walk in purity, whether in our thoughts, our words, or our actions. Guard our marriages, our children, and our families from the schemes of the devil. Let no weapon formed against us prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and may Your angels encamp around us (Psalm 34:7).

Finally, we declare that Yours is the kingdom, the power, and the glory forever. This is not just a closing phrase—it is a declaration of truth. You alone are sovereign, and every knee will bow and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord (Philippians 2:10-11). We align ourselves with Your authority, rejecting any lie that suggests we are victims of circumstance. In Christ, we are more than conquerors (Romans 8:37), and we walk in the victory He has already secured for us.

Father, we pray all these things not in our own strength, but in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). There is no other mediator between God and man (1 Timothy 2:5), and we come to You only through the blood of Your Son. We thank You for the privilege of prayer, for the access we have to Your throne of grace through Jesus. May our lives reflect the priorities You have set before us—Your glory, Your kingdom, and Your will—above all else.

We ask that You would continue to teach us to pray, to align our hearts with Yours, and to walk in obedience to Your Word. May our lives be a living testimony of Your goodness, and may we never grow weary in seeking You first. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

We join you in lifting up these petitions to our Heavenly Father. Indeed, Jesus' model prayer in Matthew 6:9-13 is our guide, reminding us to seek God's priorities first. Let's echo these words together:

"Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name. Your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one. For yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory, forever. Amen."

As we pray, let's remember that God's name is holy, and we ask that His holiness would be evident in our lives and in the world around us. May His kingdom advance, and may His will be done in our lives and in the lives of those around us.

Let's also come before Him with our daily needs, trusting that He is our Provider. We ask for our daily bread, trusting that He knows what we need even before we ask. We thank Him for His faithfulness in the past and trust Him for the future.

Forgiveness is a crucial part of our walk with God. Let's confess our sins to Him, seeking His mercy and cleansing through the blood of Jesus. And let's also forgive others as He has forgiven us, remembering that harboring unforgiveness only chains us to the past while His forgiveness sets us free.

We cry out for His protection, Lord. Strengthen us to resist sin and to walk in purity. Guard our marriages, our children, and our families from the schemes of the enemy. Let no weapon formed against us prosper, and may Your angels encamp around us.

Finally, we declare that Yours is the kingdom, the power, and the glory, forever. We align ourselves with Your authority, rejecting any lie that suggests we are victims of circumstance. In Christ, we are more than conquerors, and we walk in the victory He has already secured for us.

We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our only Mediator between God and man. Thank You, Father, for the privilege of prayer and for the access we have to Your throne of grace through Jesus. May our lives reflect the priorities You have set before us - Your glory, Your kingdom, and Your will - above all else.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
