God's Priorities & Our Human Needs, Matt 6:9-13

Faithful Servant
šŸ™"Pray like this: ā€˜Our Father in Heaven, May Your Name be honored. Let Your Kingdom come. Let Your Will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven. Give us today our daily bread (bread for the journey). Forgive our debts, as we forgive our debtors. Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one. For Yours is the Kingdom, the Power, and the Glory, forever, Amen.’" Matt 6:9-13, in Jesus' Name

I prayed with you for this, in Jesus' powerful Name, Amen.

Proverbs 3:5-6: "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight."

We are glad to see that you are seeking to understand and apply the Lord's Prayer in your life. This prayer, taught by Jesus Himself, is a beautiful model for how we should approach God, aligning our hearts with His priorities and trusting Him for our daily needs.

In this prayer, Jesus teaches us to first acknowledge and honor God's name, seeking His Kingdom and will above all else. This reminds us that our primary focus should be on God's glory and His purposes, rather than our own desires. As it is written, "But seek first God’s Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well." (Matthew 6:33, WEB).

The request for daily bread is a humble acknowledgment of our dependence on God for our physical needs. It is an expression of trust that He will provide for us, just as He provides for the birds of the air and the lilies of the field (Matthew 6:26-30). We should not be anxious about our needs, but rather, trust in God's provision and care.

The prayer also emphasizes the importance of forgiveness, both receiving it from God and extending it to others. This is a crucial aspect of our relationship with God and with one another. As it says in Matthew 6:14-15, "For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you don’t forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses." (WEB).

Lastly, the prayer acknowledges our need for God's guidance and protection. We are to ask God to lead us away from temptation and deliver us from evil. This is a recognition of our own weakness and the reality of spiritual warfare. As it says in 1 Corinthians 10:13, "No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it." (WEB).

Let us pray together for you:

Heavenly Father, we thank You for the gift of prayer and the privilege of coming before Your throne of grace. We ask that You would help us to align our hearts with Your priorities, seeking Your Kingdom and will above all else. Lord, we trust You for our daily needs, knowing that You are a good and faithful Provider. Help us to forgive others as You have forgiven us, and guide us in the path of righteousness, protecting us from temptation and evil. May Your name be honored, and may Your Kingdom come in our lives and in the world around us. We ask all these things in the precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

We encourage you to continue seeking God's will in all things, trusting Him for your daily needs, and extending forgiveness to others. May you find peace and joy in knowing that God is faithful and that He will provide for you and guide you in all things.

We've been reflecting on the Lord's Prayer and it's truly a beautiful guide for our conversations with God. It's like a roadmap, isn't it? We see how Jesus teaches us to start by honoring God's name and seeking His Kingdom first. It's a reminder that we're not alone in our needs and desires, but part of a bigger picture, His grand plan.

We're also struck by the part about daily bread. It's such a simple request, yet it's a powerful statement of trust. It's like we're saying, "God, I know I need food for today, but I trust You to provide it. I'm not anxious, because I know You care for me." It's a daily reminder of our dependence on Him, isn't it?

And forgiveness, oh, what a heavy yet liberating topic. Jesus teaches us to ask for forgiveness and to extend it to others. It's like He's saying, "If you want to be forgiven, you must also forgive." It's a tough lesson, but it's at the heart of our relationship with God and with each other.

Let's pray together, shall we?

"Dear Father, thank You for today. Thank You for Your love and care, even in the smallest details of our lives. Help us to seek Your Kingdom first, to trust You for our daily needs, and to forgive as we've been forgiven. Protect us from temptation and guide us in the path of righteousness. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

Praying for others on here and reading your Bible will help you tremendously.

I wanted to commit suicide once, I even came up with a plan. Right before I headed out the door I posted a prayer on here and hoping there might be help from God one last time I opened the Bible and only read take no thought for your life. I read that before at least 100 times but never really could understand how. This time I took it to heart, all right God I will end my life by not thinking about it. I take no thought, I take no thought, I take no thought over and over and over again I take no thought was my only thought that day. All of a sudden I noticed something, Jesus showed up, all my pains were gone, no neck ache, no back pain, no leg pain from many many accidents I had over the years and no pain in my heart as my wife had left me. I started singing praises and thanks to Jesus and my life has never been the same. It is our obedience to God from His Holy Instructions that makes a difference to His Power of His Promises in our lives.

Be a doer of Jesus friend, it really makes a difference! Thank You Lord Jesus!

Search the Bible for Jesus' Promises friend, do them and claim them in Jesus! Amen! Thank You Lord Jesus!

Powerful healing promise hidden in Proverbs 3:7-8, I am not wise in my own eyes, I fear You Lord, I depart from evil, especially my own evil thoughts and my flesh is healed and my body is refreshed in Jesus.

Take no thought for your life dear friend and Jesus will take thought for you. Sing praises and thanks to Jesus and He will overflow His Holy Spirit in you and so much more. He will fight for you and give you the desires of your heart.

Let Us Pray: God I ask in Jesus' name, bless me to grow closer to You. I long for a more intimate relationship with You. God I take You at Your Word, if I will draw closer to You, You will draw closer to me (James 4:8). Show me how to draw closer to You. Bless me daily to cast off and forsake my thoughts and ways for my life, and exchange them for Your thoughts and ways for my life. Let me think Your thoughts and dream Your dreams for my life. God bless me to live and walk in Your love, mercy and forgiveness (Isaiah 55:7). I confess, I will take no thought for my life. I will trust You Father God to take thought for me and take care of me (Mathew 6:25-34). I will not be wise in my own eyes, I will fear You Lord and depart from evil and my flesh will be healed and my body will be refreshed (Proverbs 3:7-8) daily. Thank You Jesus for Your Promises! Lord make me the Child of God You need me to be in Christ for all those around me and for the world to see (Psalms 128:3). Not by my might, nor by my power, but by Your Spirt Christ Jesus (Zechariah 4:6) this shall happen. And it will happen, it is happening now in Your timing, Power, Strength, Might, and Spirit, Christ Jesus. God all that I have asked of you in this prayer please do the same for all those I love, care about, and every faithful prayer warrior on this site.
