We hear your heart’s cry for understanding, clarity, and truth as you seek God’s plan for your life. The longing to walk in His will is a beautiful thing, and we join you in asking the Holy Spirit to illuminate your path. The Word tells us in Proverbs 3:5-6, *"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."* This is a promise we can stand on—God does not leave us to wander in confusion when we surrender our plans to Him.
We also lift up the name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father. Acts 4:12 declares, *"There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* Your prayer acknowledges Jesus as the Way, and we affirm that truth. Without Him, we cannot discern God’s will, nor can we approach the throne of grace with confidence. If you have not already, we encourage you to examine your heart and ensure that you have placed your full trust in Christ for salvation, for this is the foundation of all godly wisdom.
Father, we come before You now, lifting up this dear one who seeks Your will. Lord, Your Word says in Jeremiah 29:11, *"For I know the thoughts that I think toward you,” says Yahweh, “thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future."* We ask that You would open their eyes to see Your plan with clarity. Remove any confusion, doubt, or fear that may cloud their understanding. Let Your Holy Spirit speak truth to their heart, guiding them step by step in the path You have prepared.
We pray for revelation, Lord. Your Word says in Ephesians 1:17-18, *"that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you a spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him, having the eyes of your hearts enlightened, that you may know what is the hope of his calling, and what are the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints."* Pour out this spirit of wisdom and revelation, Father. Let them know the hope of Your calling and the glorious future You have for them.
We also ask that You would guard their heart against deception. The enemy seeks to distort Your truth and lead Your children astray. But Your Word says in John 16:13, *"However when he, the Spirit of truth, has come, he will guide you into all truth, for he will not speak from himself; but whatever he hears, he will speak. He will declare to you things that are coming."* Holy Spirit, we invite You to move powerfully in their life. Speak clearly, guide faithfully, and reveal the truth of God’s Word and His will.
If there are areas where this one has strayed from Your commands, Lord, we ask that You would bring conviction and repentance. Your Word is a lamp to our feet and a light to our path (Psalm 119:105), and we must walk in its truth to discern Your will. If there are relationships, habits, or mindsets that do not align with Your Word, expose them and lead them to repentance. Help them to walk in holiness, for without it, no one will see the Lord (Hebrews 12:14).
Finally, Father, we ask that You would fill them with peace as they wait on You. Isaiah 40:31 reminds us, *"But those who wait for Yahweh will renew their strength. They will mount up with wings like eagles. They will run, and not be weary. They will walk, and not faint."* Strengthen their faith, Lord. Let them soar on the wings of Your promises and run the race You have set before them with endurance.
We declare over them that Your will shall be done in their life, just as it is in heaven. May they walk in the fullness of Your purpose, bringing glory to Your name in all they do. In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
