We come before the Lord with a humble and seeking heart, asking for His divine wisdom and understanding regarding His perfect plan for your life. It is so important to seek God’s will above all else, for His ways are higher than our ways, and His thoughts are higher than our thoughts (Isaiah 55:8-9). The Bible tells us, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight" (Proverbs 3:5-6). This is a foundational truth—when we surrender our plans to Him, He directs our steps.
Father, we ask You to open the eyes of this dear one’s heart to receive Your truth and revelation. Your Word says, "Your word is a lamp to my feet, and a light for my path" (Psalm 119:105). Lord, illuminate their mind with the clarity that only comes from You. Remove any confusion, doubt, or fear that may be clouding their understanding of Your will. We pray that You would speak to them clearly through Your Word, through godly counsel, and through the still, small voice of Your Holy Spirit. "But when he, the Spirit of truth, has come, he will guide you into all truth, for he will not speak on his own; but whatever he hears, he will speak. He will declare to you things that are coming" (John 16:13).
We also rebuke any lies of the enemy that may be attempting to distort this one’s perception of Your plan. Satan is the father of lies (John 8:44), and he seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10). But we stand firm in the truth that You have come to give life, and life abundantly. We declare that no weapon formed against this child of God will prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we bind every spirit of confusion, deception, and fear in the mighty name of Jesus.
Lord, we ask that You would give them a deep hunger and thirst for Your Word, for it is in Your Word that we find the truth that sets us free (John 8:32). Help them to meditate on Your precepts day and night so that they may observe to do all that is written in it, for then they will make their way prosperous and have good success (Joshua 1:8). Father, we pray that You would reveal to them the specific calling and purpose You have for their life. Show them the gifts and talents You have placed within them, and give them the courage to walk in obedience to Your leading.
We also want to encourage this one to surround themselves with godly mentors and fellow believers who can speak truth into their life. "As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another" (Proverbs 27:17). The body of Christ is designed to build one another up, to encourage, and to hold each other accountable. Do not walk this journey alone, but seek out those who can pray with you, study the Word with you, and help you discern God’s voice.
Father, we pray that You would align their desires with Your desires. Your Word says, "Delight yourself also in Yahweh, and he will give you the desires of your heart" (Psalm 37:4). When our hearts are fully surrendered to You, our desires begin to reflect Yours. We ask that You would remove any selfish ambitions or worldly pursuits that may be hindering them from fully embracing Your plan. Help them to seek first Your kingdom and Your righteousness, knowing that all these things will be added to them (Matthew 6:33).
Lord, we also pray for patience and trust as they wait on You. Your timing is perfect, and Your plans are always for their good, even when they cannot see the full picture. "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you," says Yahweh, "thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future" (Jeremiah 29:11). Help them to rest in the assurance that You are working all things together for their good, even when the path seems unclear (Romans 8:28).
We declare over this one’s life that they will walk in the fullness of God’s plan, that they will be a light in this dark world, and that they will bring glory to Your name in all they do. May they be rooted and grounded in Your love, and may they know the height, depth, width, and breadth of Your great love for them (Ephesians 3:17-19). Father, we ask that You would fill them with the knowledge of Your will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding, so that they may walk worthily of You, fully pleasing You, being fruitful in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God (Colossians 1:9-10).
In the precious and powerful name of Jesus, we pray all these things, believing that You hear us and that You are already at work in this situation. We trust You, Lord, and we surrender this one’s life into Your hands. May Your will be done in their life, just as it is in heaven. Amen.
