God’s plan

Beloved of All
Need a good understanding, clarity, truth, guidance, revelation❤️‍🩹
Holy Spirit,
Touch my heart with the truth in Jesus name
Your will be done Father! In Jesus name

We rejoice with you in seeking God’s plan, for it is written, *“For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future”* (Jeremiah 29:11, WEB). Your heart’s cry for truth, clarity, and guidance is a prayer God delights to answer, for He promises, *“If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach; and it will be given to him”* (James 1:5, WEB). You have come to the right place—seeking the Holy Spirit, who is the Spirit of Truth, and He will guide you into all truth (John 16:13).

Yet we must also remind you that understanding God’s will begins with surrender to His Word and His Son, Jesus Christ. You have rightly invoked the name of Jesus, for there is no other name under heaven by which we are saved (Acts 4:12), and it is only through Him that we boldly approach the throne of grace (Hebrews 4:16). If you have not already, we urge you to examine your heart: have you repented of your sins and placed your full trust in Christ alone for salvation? For *“whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved”* (Romans 10:13, WEB). Without this foundation, no amount of seeking will bring true clarity, for *“there is no one who understands. There is no one who seeks after God”* (Romans 3:11, WEB) apart from His saving grace.

Now, as you seek His will, remember that God’s plan is not always revealed all at once but unfolds as we walk in obedience. *“Your word is a lamp to my feet, and a light for my path”* (Psalm 119:105, WEB). Do not rush ahead of Him, but wait patiently, for *“the Lord is good to those who wait for him, to the soul who seeks him”* (Lamentations 3:25, WEB). Sometimes the clarity we seek comes through trials, through the refining fire that purifies our faith (1 Peter 1:6-7). Other times, it comes through the still, small voice of the Spirit speaking through Scripture, godly counsel, or the quietness of prayer.

We also caution you: beware of seeking signs or revelations apart from Scripture, for God has already spoken fully in His Word. *“All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work”* (2 Timothy 3:16-17, WEB). If you are looking for a "word" outside of the Bible, you risk being led astray by emotions, deceitful spirits, or your own desires. Test every thought, every impression, against the unchanging truth of God’s Word.

Lastly, consider whether there is any unconfessed sin in your life that may be clouding your discernment. *“If I had cherished iniquity in my heart, the Lord wouldn’t have listened”* (Psalm 66:18, WEB). Repentance and a clean heart are essential to hearing God clearly. Ask the Holy Spirit to search you and reveal anything that displeases Him (Psalm 139:23-24).

Now, let us pray together for you:

Heavenly Father, we lift up this precious soul before You, asking that You would flood their heart with the light of Your truth. Lord, remove every veil of confusion, every distraction of the enemy, and every doubt that hinders them from fully trusting in You. By the power of the Holy Spirit, open their eyes to see Your Word with fresh revelation, their ears to hear Your voice with clarity, and their heart to receive Your will with joyful surrender. If there is any area of their life not aligned with Your Word, convict them gently but firmly, and grant them the strength to repent and walk in obedience.

Father, we ask that You would guard them from the deception of seeking "revelation" apart from Scripture. Let them be rooted and grounded in Your Word, for it is a lamp to their feet. If they have been looking for answers in the wrong places, redirect their steps to the cross of Christ, where all wisdom and truth are found. Remind them that Your ways are higher than theirs (Isaiah 55:8-9), and that delay is not denial—You are working all things for their good and Your glory (Romans 8:28).

Fill them with patience, Lord, and a deep trust in Your timing. Let them rest in the assurance that You are not hiding Your will from them, but are drawing them closer to You in the process. May they seek first Your kingdom and Your righteousness, knowing that all these things will be added to them (Matthew 6:33).

We rebuke every spirit of confusion, fear, or impatience that may be attacking their mind. In the name of Jesus, we command these spirits to flee, for *“God is not the author of confusion, but of peace”* (1 Corinthians 14:33, WEB). Let the peace of Christ, which surpasses all understanding, guard their heart and mind (Philippians 4:7).

Father, if there is a specific decision they are facing, give them wisdom beyond their own understanding. If they are waiting for direction, let them move only when You say "go," and stand firm when You say "wait." Surround them with godly counselors who will speak Your truth in love.

Most of all, Lord, let them know You. For in knowing You, they will find the ultimate answer to every question, the ultimate peace in every storm, and the ultimate joy in every season. May their life be a testament to Your faithfulness, and may they walk in the good works You have prepared for them (Ephesians 2:10).

We ask all this in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

Beloved, as you wait on the Lord, meditate on His promises. Write down what He speaks to you through Scripture. Seek the counsel of mature believers who will point you to Christ. And remember: God’s plan for you is not just about *what* you do, but *who* you become in Him. He is shaping you into the image of His Son (Romans 8:29). Trust Him, even when the path is unclear. His ways are perfect, and His love for you is everlasting.

We're right there with you, seeking God's plan with all our hearts. It's comforting to know that God has a good plan for us, one that gives us hope and a future, as Jeremiah 29:11 reminds us. We're praying that the Holy Spirit will touch your heart with truth, guiding you into all truth, just as Jesus promised in John 16:13.

We're also reminded of James 1:5, which encourages us to ask God for wisdom, and He promises to give it generously without finding fault. So, keep asking, keep seeking, and keep knocking, for God delights in answering His children's prayers.

As you wait on the Lord, remember that His plan often unfolds in stages, not all at once. Trust that He is working in your life, even when the path isn't clear yet. Psalm 119:105 tells us that God's word is a lamp for our feet, lighting our path one step at a time. So, let's walk in obedience, waiting patiently for His leading.

Let's also remember that understanding God's will begins with surrender to His Word and His Son, Jesus Christ. Have you placed your full trust in Christ alone for salvation? If not, we encourage you to do so, for there is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12).

As you seek God's will, be patient and trust in His timing. Sometimes, the clarity we seek comes through trials, refining our faith like gold (1 Peter 1:6-7). Other times, it comes through the quiet voice of the Spirit speaking through Scripture, godly counsel, or prayer.

Lastly, we want to encourage you to test every thought and impression against the unchanging truth of God's Word. Be wary of seeking signs or revelations apart from Scripture, for God has already spoken fully in His Word (2 Timothy 3:16-17).

Now, let's pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You today, lifting up our sister/brother in Christ. We ask that You would fill their heart with the light of Your truth, removing every veil of confusion and every doubt that hinders them from fully trusting in You. Guard them from the deception of seeking revelation apart from Scripture, and remind them that Your ways are higher than their ways (Isaiah 55:8-9).

Fill them with patience, Lord, and a deep trust in Your timing. Let them rest in the assurance that You are not hiding Your will from them, but drawing them closer to You in the process. May they seek first Your kingdom and Your righteousness, knowing that all these things will be added to them (Matthew 6:33).
