Disciple of Prayer
I have to go back to work, I’m a single parent. So I can still take my daughter to college I will have to work nights. It’s going to be hard to work nights and take my daughter to college during the day. I lift this whole situation to the Lord as it seems impossible. I know that he is the God of the impossible and he will find a way. I don’t know how to pray as I don’t know what’s for the best. I need him to show me the way.

We come before the Lord with you in this season of uncertainty and hardship, lifting up your heartfelt concerns as a single parent seeking to provide for your daughter while trusting in God’s perfect plan. Your faith in His ability to make a way where there seems to be none is a testament to your trust in Him, and we stand with you in agreement, knowing that our Heavenly Father cares deeply for you and your daughter. The Scriptures remind us in Jeremiah 29:11, *"For I know the plans that I have for you,” declares Yahweh, “plans for peace, and not for evil, to give you hope and a future."* This promise is for you, and we claim it over your life and the life of your daughter.

It is clear that you are facing a tremendous challenge—balancing night shifts with the responsibility of supporting your daughter through college during the day. The physical, emotional, and spiritual toll of this cannot be underestimated, and we want to encourage you to lean entirely on the Lord’s strength. In Philippians 4:13, we are told, *"I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me."* This is not just a verse of encouragement; it is a divine truth that you can hold onto as you navigate this difficult season. You are not alone in this. The Lord sees your sacrifice, your love for your daughter, and your desire to honor Him in all that you do.

We also want to gently remind you of the power of praying in the name of Jesus. It is through His name that we have access to the Father, and it is by His authority that we can boldly approach the throne of grace. Jesus Himself said in John 14:13-14, *"Whatever you will ask in my name, I will do it, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it."* When we pray in Jesus’ name, we are aligning our requests with His will and His purposes. This is not a magical phrase but a recognition of our dependence on Him as our Mediator and Savior. If you have not already placed your complete trust in Jesus Christ for your salvation, we urge you to do so. The Bible tells us in Acts 4:12, *"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* It is only through faith in Jesus that we can experience the fullness of God’s love, grace, and provision.

As for your practical concerns, we pray that the Lord would provide supernatural strength for your body and mind as you work through the night. We ask Him to grant you rest when you are able to sleep, that it would be deep and refreshing, and that He would protect your health during this time. We also pray for divine wisdom as you manage your schedule, that the Lord would order your steps and provide creative solutions you may not have considered. Proverbs 3:5-6 tells us, *"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."* This is your promise—He will direct your paths as you seek Him.

For your daughter, we pray that the Lord would surround her with His favor as she pursues her education. May He give her a heart of wisdom, diligence in her studies, and godly friendships that encourage her in her faith. We also pray that this season would draw both of you closer to the Lord, that you would see His hand at work in ways that strengthen your faith and deepen your reliance on Him. Remember the words of Jesus in Matthew 6:31-33, *"Therefore don’t be anxious, saying, ‘What will we eat?’ ‘What will we drink?’ or, ‘With what will we be clothed?’ For the Gentiles seek after all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well."* Your Heavenly Father knows your needs, and He will provide.

We also encourage you to seek support from your church community. The body of Christ is meant to bear one another’s burdens, and there may be practical ways your brothers and sisters in Christ can come alongside you—whether through meals, childcare, or simply prayer and encouragement. Galatians 6:2 tells us, *"Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ."* Do not hesitate to reach out and allow others to minister to you during this time.

Lastly, we want to remind you that while this season is difficult, it is not forever. The Lord is faithful, and He will see you through. Psalm 30:5 assures us, *"For his anger is but for a moment. His favor is for a lifetime. Weeping may stay for the night, but joy comes in the morning."* Hold onto the hope of joy coming in the morning, even as you walk through this night. The Lord is with you, and He will never leave you nor forsake you.

**Our Prayer for You:**

Heavenly Father, we come before You today on behalf of our sister, lifting up her heart and her needs to You. Lord, You are the God of the impossible, and we ask that You would make a way where there seems to be no way. You see the sacrifice she is making as a single parent, working nights to provide for her daughter’s education, and we ask that You would strengthen her body, mind, and spirit for this season. Lord, grant her supernatural energy and rest when she sleeps. Order her steps and provide creative solutions that she has not yet considered. Give her wisdom to manage her time and responsibilities in a way that honors You.

Father, we pray for her daughter, that You would surround her with Your favor as she pursues her studies. Give her a heart of wisdom, diligence, and godly influences that will encourage her in her faith. Lord, draw both of them closer to You through this season. Let them see Your hand at work in their lives in ways that deepen their trust in You.

We also pray for provision, Lord. You know their needs before they ask, and we trust that You will provide for them in ways that exceed their expectations. Open doors of opportunity, whether through financial blessings, support from their church community, or unexpected help. Remind them that You are their Provider, and that they can cast all their cares upon You.

Lord, we ask that You would fill their home with Your peace, a peace that surpasses all understanding. Guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus, and let them rest in the knowledge that You are in control. We rebuke any fear, anxiety, or discouragement that may try to take root in their hearts. Instead, fill them with Your hope and joy, even in the midst of this challenge.

Finally, Father, we pray that this season would be a testimony of Your faithfulness. Let them look back and see how You carried them through, how You provided, and how You never left their side. We ask all of this in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

We're right here with you, sister. We know this path feels uncertain and overwhelming at times, but remember, God's got this. He's the God of the impossible, and He's walking right beside you every step of the way.

We want to encourage you to keep seeking His face, even when it's hard. In those quiet moments, pour out your heart to Him. He's listening, and He cares deeply about every detail of your life. Trust that He has a plan, and it's a good one. As it says in Jeremiah 29:11, "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."

We also want to remind you that you're not alone in this. You've got a whole community of believers standing with you, praying for you, and cheering you on. Don't hesitate to reach out to your church family. They're there to support you, just as Galatians 6:2 tells us, "Bear one another's burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ."

And hey, it's okay to ask for help. It doesn't make you weak; it makes you wise. So, let others come alongside you, whether it's with a meal, some childcare, or just a listening ear.

Lastly, keep your eyes fixed on Jesus. He's your strength, your hope, and your peace in the midst of this storm. As it says in Matthew 6:31-33, "Therefore do not worry, saying, 'What shall we eat?' or 'What shall we drink?' or 'What shall we wear?' For the Gentiles seek after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them all. But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you."

So, keep seeking Him, sister. Trust Him. He's got this. And we're right here with you, every step of the way.

I prayed that God in Jesus' name will answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. Thank You Jesus!!!
