God's love

We hear your heart’s cry for another chance to walk in relationship with God, and we stand with you in seeking His mercy and grace. The Bible tells us that God’s love is steadfast and unfailing, even when we have strayed. In Lamentations 3:22-23 (WEB), we read, "It is because of Yahweh’s loving kindnesses that we are not consumed, because his compassion doesn’t fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness." This truth reminds us that no matter how far we may have wandered, God’s arms are always open to receive us when we turn back to Him in repentance.

If you have not yet placed your faith in Jesus Christ, we must emphasize that it is only through Him that we can be reconciled to God. John 14:6 (WEB) declares, "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'" There is no other name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). Salvation comes when we confess with our mouths that Jesus is Lord and believe in our hearts that God raised Him from the dead (Romans 10:9). If you have not yet made this decision, we urge you to surrender your life to Christ today. He is the only mediator between God and man (1 Timothy 2:5), and it is through His sacrifice that we are forgiven and restored.

If you have already accepted Christ but have wandered from Him, know that His love is greater than your failures. 1 John 1:9 (WEB) assures us, "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." Repentance is not about wallowing in guilt but about turning away from sin and running back into the arms of our Heavenly Father. He is waiting for you with open arms, just as the father welcomed the prodigal son in Luke 15:20 (WEB): "He arose, and came to his father. But while he was still far off, his father saw him, and was moved with compassion, and ran, and fell on his neck, and kissed him."

Let us pray together for your restoration:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with humble hearts, lifting up this dear one who seeks another chance to walk with You. Lord, Your Word says that You desire all to come to repentance (2 Peter 3:9), and we know that Your love is boundless. We ask that You would draw this heart back to You, softening any hardness and breaking any chains of sin or shame. Forgive every way they have strayed, and cleanse them by the blood of Jesus. Restore the joy of Your salvation in their life (Psalm 51:12). If they have not yet surrendered to Christ, we pray that today would be the day of their salvation. Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, that they may walk in newness of life (Romans 6:4). Strengthen them to resist temptation and to live in a way that honors You. Thank You, Father, for Your mercy that endures forever. We trust in Your promise that if we confess our sins, You are faithful to forgive and cleanse us. In Jesus’ precious name we pray, Amen.

We encourage you to spend time in God’s Word daily, as it is alive and active (Hebrews 4:12) and will guide you into all truth (John 16:13). Surround yourself with fellow believers who can encourage and pray for you. If you have been living in a way that does not align with God’s design, whether through sexual immorality, idolatry, or other sins, we urge you to repent and seek accountability. God’s ways are not meant to restrict us but to lead us into true freedom and joy (John 10:10).

Remember, Philippians 1:6 (WEB) says, "Being confident of this very thing, that he who began a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ." God is not finished with you. He is calling you back to Himself, and His grace is more than sufficient to cover every mistake. Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith (Hebrews 12:2), and trust that He will lead you into a deeper, more intimate relationship with Him. You are loved beyond measure, and His plans for you are good (Jeremiah 29:11). Walk in that truth today.

We’re so glad you shared this. That honest ache for another chance with God is precious, it’s not something we drum up on our own. The very fact that you’re reaching out tells us He is already drawing you, not pushing you away. Too often we think we’ve used up all our chances, that we’ve disappointed Him one too many times. But God doesn’t ration His mercy like that. He meets us right in the mess, not once we’ve cleaned ourselves up.

What often trips us up is mistaking feeling horrible about what we’ve done for actual change. Genuine sorrow isn’t just regret that we got caught or that life got messy; it’s a shift deep inside that makes us want to walk a new direction. That desire you have, that pull toward Him again, is already the start of that turn. And He welcomes it. So take this longing seriously, but don’t let shame convince you that you have to earn your way back. You don’t. Just come.

One simple next step: find a quiet place, maybe today, and talk with God like you’re talking with someone who already knows every detail and still wants you. No fancy words needed. Tell Him what’s on your heart, the regret, the want, the fear. Ask Him for the honesty to face what’s been keeping you distant and the courage to let it go. And if you can, tell a trusted Christian friend or your pastor. When we keep these things in the dark, they fester; spoken aloud, they start to lose their grip.

Let’s pray.

Lord Jesus, thank You that no one is beyond Your reach. You see this person’s deep desire to be close to You again, and You welcome that with open arms. Quiet the voice of shame that says it’s too late. Give them the grace to truly turn, to leave behind what has grieved Your heart and to anchor their hope in Your unchanging love. Walk them into the fresh start You always offer. Amen.

You seek another chance to have a relationship with God, and that very desire is a whisper of hope breathed into your soul by the Spirit. It is no small thing to long for Him whom you have slighted; this is not the mark of a heart utterly hardened, but of one that is being drawn. And I must tell you plainly, there is forgiveness with Him. It is not hidden in the depths, nor kept at a distance, but there with God, ready to be bestowed. You have only to look to Jesus on the Cross, as Israel looked to the bronze serpent, and by that look live.

Do not imagine that God is hard-hearted, as if He needed to be moved to mercy. It is you who need to be moved to accept the mercy He freely holds out. He has not left the question open, nor does He mock beggars by teaching them to ask for what He intends to refuse. This message is sent to you, knowing all you have been, knowing the hardness of your past, and yet it declares, "There is forgiveness." For Christ's sake, God hath forgiven His people, and that forgiveness is complete, casting every sin behind His back. He delights to take the chief of sinners and make them monuments to His grace; your worst state only honors Him more when He saves you.

Then come, and come now. The way is open, for Jesus stands between you and God, and in Him you are brought near. Lay hold of this truth: God for Christ's sake is willing to pardon. Cease your reasoning and your shrinking, and begin to praise Him who has power on earth to forgive sins. Believe that He is, and that He rewards those who diligently seek Him, and you shall find that He Himself is your everlasting light. The forgiveness you crave is with Him, and He will get it to you, even to you.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Do not let your failures drive you to despair, but let them drive you to marvel at the mercy of God. This is the very heart of the good tidings: the removal of punishment, the remission of sins, and a reconciliation between God and our nature. You ask for another chance, and this is precisely what He came declaring to all, even to enemies, even to those sitting in darkness. What gift could ever be equal to that? God on earth, man in heaven; the curse blotted out, sin put out of the way.

Consider how He did this. The Apostle makes much of it, saying He "by Himself purged our sins." He did not send a servant or an angel. He saw us condemned, degraded, with no one to offer a sufficient sacrifice, and He had compassion. He Himself became our High Priest to make reconciliation for the people. This is the proof of His care. Do not imagine a distant God; think of Him who by Himself entered the very state of our weakness, dwelling among us, unchangeable in His divine nature yet united to our flesh for our sake.

Remember, then, the mercies that have already held you. How often we all have fallen into calamities and would have long ago perished unless God had held His hand over us. Let this memory give you boldness, not presumption. The same Abraham who hoped against hope, when his body was dead and the promise seemed impossible, looked to no example but God only. He who gave him a son from a dead womb can surely breathe new life into a soul that feels its own barrenness. The obstacles are great, but the power of the One who gives the promise is greater.

Therefore, turn your lament into a song of thanksgiving even now, trusting not in your own strength, but in the faithfulness of the High Priest who has already made the offering. If you can thank the God of love in the very midst of your sorrow over your sins, you shall receive a reward no less than the one who offered a great sacrifice. Take hold of another chance, not by merely wishing, but by grasping the reconciliation that was already accomplished by the Son, with whom to the Father, together with the Holy Spirit, be glory forever.
